Raiders @ Saints: Prediction Results
Alright guys it's time to check out what you all predicted would happen on Sunday. This week was much better than last week and some of you were pretty darn accurate. This vote is gonna be tough. Let's see what we got!
| Member Name | Prediction | Analysis |
| TAYDIGGA |
1. Colston returns and catches a lob over someone inside the Red zone (we’ve been practicing these, his finger is better than we thought). |
No No Yes |
| Stujo4 | 1) Deuce will have 10-15 touches. 2) JaMarcus Russell will be held to under 155 yards passing. 3) The Raiders will not score a passing touchdown, even considering that Jason David will be covering Javon Walker. |
Yes Sooooo close. 159 yards. Yes |
| SaintsDynasty | 1. Deuce will rush for 50+ yards 2. Raiders total under 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing 3. Bush will get 100+ offensive yards 4. Meachem scores a TD
|
Yes Yes No Not counting #4, but no. Welcome to CSC! |
| MtnExile |
1. Reggie Bush has another punt TD. 2. JaMarcus Russell has at least one scoring pass of over 50 yards. 3. Saints win by two touchdowns. |
No No No. Would have counted if you had said "at least" 2 touchdowns. |
| HansDat | 1) I will only make 3 predictions this time :-) 2) Saints win 27-16 3) Mehlaff’s debut stat line – 2 out of 2 short-range FG, and 3 of 3 XP
|
Yes No. No |
| Hollywoo! | 1. Much more Deuce…say, 15 for 80 2. David will piss us all off and get a pick 6 3. Payton does a good job of eliminating the penalties this week. We have less than 5…
|
Close but No. Yes Yes |
| Stevethefan |
1. Brees 400 yds, 3 TDs 2 rushes for 15 yds |
No Yes! Half. |
| Nez |
Drew Brees goes 40/55 for 6 TD passes and 1 int, three to Colston, two to Moore, and one to Bush. Meachem practices lining up properly on sideline. Reggie Bush rushes for 60 yards, catches10 passes for 120 yds and a TD. Oh, and the Raiders punter is smart enough to kick out-of-bounds or face being humiliated on national telivision by Al Davis. Saints win 52-21 with final points coming from Melhaff with :05 seconds to go in the 4th quarter.

No No No Welcome to CSC! |

1. Lot’s of screaming.
2. Lot’s of cussing. 3. Lot’s of disappointment. |
Maybe. No No |
| Satchmo26 |
1. Bush rarely gets an opportunity to return a punt because the Raiders will try to punt them all either out of bounds or far way from him. The Raiders will punt a lot because the Saints D will take away their run game and get good pressure on Russell. Bush will, however, get 2 TDs—1 pass, 1 run. |
You were way off on the first part and way right on the second. Yes Close |
| Ditka'sGhost | 1. Mehlhaff will not have any “touchbacks” 2. Deuce 15+ carries for 85+ yards 3. Saints win 28-17. |
No No No |

Voted both for Stujo and Puken..
That was close but I now understand better Saintsationnal warning me on being to specific…“Sooo cloose” and a pair of “Yes” still don’t beat 3 of a kind.
Further more, figured out I should keep Stujo busy with someone else than me. Admit it, you picked every upset available on this week Fun-O-Pool right? 16 points? That’s as good as Brees! Guess somebody was tired of hearing me yap and took a long shot.
Good job, man. I don’t think that approach will be good on the long run but I really feel the heat now!

Finally not so impressed
That’s truly 12 points. Silly me, got you mixed up with the other S(atchmo) guy. And they call me Sly…
Still, thought I’d run with it with a 4 points advantage last week. Guess it was an"Any given Sunday" thing.

I finally got lucky this week!
I picked a lot of upsets in the Pick-em pool. The main one being the Rams over the Redskins. I was probably one of the few people to get those particular 3 points. I had a feeling Haslett would get the Rams ready to compete for a change and that the Redskins would take them too lightly. I only wish I had picked the Browns over the Giants.
Speaking of the Browns and Giants, I’m not ashamed to say that I was watching that game and hoping that RB Brandon Jacobs would put up less than 14.7 fantasy points because I had a close FF matchup going with Stujo this past weekend and I desperately needed a win after four straight losses. I was lucky that he only put up 12.7(That guy is a tank!!!). Finally, I got a FF win! Sorry Stujo, I know it sucks to come up 2 points short as Saintsational won against me the same way a few weeks ago.
Go Saints!!!!

bitterly disappointed and likely to hold a serious grudge for quite some time
Giants decided to sit BJ and run Ward in the second half. Hate the RB by committees. NEXT TIME, Satch!
I’m a loser, and I’m not what I appear to be
What have I done to deserve such a fate?
I realise I have left it too late
And so it’s true, pride comes before a fall
I’m telling you so that you won’t lose all

lol!
I noticed that after the Browns jumped out to a big lead, the Giants kinda stopped using Jacobs as much. I was very thankful for that at the time. Every time he got the ball, I was like, “GET HIM DOWN! TACKLE THAT MOTHERF****R! STOP HIM! KEEP HIM UNDER 14.7!” I know that was pretty pathetic of me, but I desperately wanted to taste the sweetness of FF victory for a change. With the way my luck had been going, I fully expected YOU to win by 2 points. You definitely have a great team assembled. If it’s any consolation, you were able to grab Warrick Dunn off waivers this morning before I could. I probably should have made him my first choice today.
Go Saints!!!!

Winner?
I thought there would be some balloons or confetti if I won this thing.
I never win anything so this is mildly exciting for me.
