Second

I just saw the Saints inactive list for tonight’s game. Aaron Stecker’s name was NOT on the list. For the first time in a long time. Mark my words…I think Payton will use him as a secret weapon tonight.

Go Saints and WHODAT!!!!!

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 6:36 PM CDT reply actions

Berrian

I hope McKenzie can hold him to nothing. Why is Fugita always injured????

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:05 PM CDT reply actions

I don't like all this Brees asskissing.

He’s great—probably the best. But this is just going to jinx us!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:08 PM CDT reply actions

I wish I had tix tonight!

This is painful. I wonder if I can yell from here?

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:13 PM CDT reply actions

Just do what I do when watching from my house in Louisville KY...

Direct your yells and energy at the TV. They WILL hear you, oh yes, they will.

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 7:20 PM CDT up reply actions

I think you are right!

I’ll also throw things around, if that’s okay…

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:28 PM CDT up reply actions

Ditka is a dorktka

only 1 of 8 on ESPN to pick the Vikes

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:29 PM CDT reply actions

shitka

wtf. He’s still bitter.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:32 PM CDT up reply actions

interesting...

I thought us saints fan’s were more ________ then to write out “FIRST”… with nothing else….

Ok, sorry… Just think it’s SLIGHTLY GAY when people do that….. I’ll check back in a bit, cause I can’t post on the open thread n watch the game at the same time, cause I’m not on Andromeda tonight… I’m actually getting to watch, with ALY!!!! (newborn) in HD!!!! be back later…

PS…. xen, don’t take it personal, that’s why I didn’t throw out a direct insult, just think the “act” is slightly gay….

beer thirty!!! saint’s thirty!!!!!! WHO DAT!!!!!!!

by dell00 on Oct 6, 2008 7:30 PM CDT reply actions

Dell must think I am REALLY gay

I was going to type THIRD

Night time on the City of New Orleans
Changin’ cars in Memphis, Tennessee
Halfway home, we’ll be there by mornin’
Thru the Mississippi darkness rollin’ down to the sea

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:33 PM CDT up reply actions

Don't be a hater

Hey, I know saints fans are used to not being able to write first, but this year is different!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:34 PM CDT up reply actions

AP is fast, Saints will have to wrap him up tonight, you can’t knock him down, no arm tackles.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:34 PM CDT reply actions

According to ESPN

Us Saints fans are “just average”. They rank Saints fans 15th.

Here’s the excerpt:

“Bourbon Street is close by and that means the tailgate parties start Saturday afternoon. The party atmosphere fuels the Superdome. When the Saints are playing well, this can be one of the league’s loudest venues. Before Hurricane Katrina, there were rumblings the Saints could be a candidate for a move. But the team became a rallying point for the entire Gulf Coast in the aftermath of the storm and the fan base is now stronger than ever.”

espn is dumb

they also think Bobby Hebert is the best Saint of all time when he wasn’t even in the top 10 on his own team.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:37 PM CDT up reply actions

Tony K going off on Eastern Illinois… ruins the story.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:37 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah, Drew gets throaty, don’t he?

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:39 PM CDT up reply actions

Tony K: Drew went to Ray Lewis summer camp to learn that? Idiot.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:41 PM CDT up reply actions

I hate Tony

He doesn’t know about any team outside of the DC area.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:41 PM CDT up reply actions

Do we want Hank Williams Jr on our team, or not?

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:39 PM CDT reply actions

Port of Call

Should put better TVs. That would complete my place as the best bar to watch a saints game! I also enjoy ACME.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:41 PM CDT reply actions

I hope

saintsational doesn’t tailgate. I saw where a car jumped a curb and ran into a group of people tailgating, sending some to the hospital.

by BayouRebel on Oct 6, 2008 7:43 PM CDT reply actions

he rides the street car in, don’t know if he tailgates, hope not

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:45 PM CDT up reply actions

DEUCE!

I love the deuce cheers!!!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:44 PM CDT reply actions

DOOOOOOCE!!!
Looking good

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:44 PM CDT reply actions

Hey Billy Miller started ahead of Campbell, I thought 80 was still out

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 7:45 PM CDT reply actions

the feet were incidental

but the hand grabbing his jersey was PASS INTERFERENCE

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 7:52 PM CDT up reply actions

what?

too early to say such terrible things! This is still the time when we are hopeful!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:49 PM CDT up reply actions

this needs to be 41-0

and lance moore needs to have another big game. He is on my FF team.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:50 PM CDT up reply actions

Tonight's FF action.............

I need Brees and Moore to make up 7 against Reggie.

Tony offends me by making fun of saints fans.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:51 PM CDT reply actions

The crowd sounds LOUD tonight!

With WhoDat cheers already going on, I anticipate a lot of TO’s for the vikes….

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:53 PM CDT up reply actions

2.5 yards?

omg they should just kill this kid. You know he’s getting the ball. Just blow him up!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:54 PM CDT up reply actions

That's what I like to hear!

I hope we can demoralize these cold weather loving bastards early!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 7:59 PM CDT up reply actions

DH

Again!!!!!!! for 50

by BayouRebel on Oct 6, 2008 7:59 PM CDT up reply actions

Drew really launched that one

They failed to scout DH, didn’t they?

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:00 PM CDT up reply actions

another penalty on a nice Reggie run

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:02 PM CDT up reply actions

Hey everyone.

Everyone looks like they came to play tonight!

by MattHaggard on Oct 6, 2008 8:01 PM CDT reply actions

DOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Time for a 3rd down conversion!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:01 PM CDT reply actions

Goddamned refs are so against us.

seriously, every game we have to hear this crap?

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:02 PM CDT reply actions

I think that was a hold

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:03 PM CDT up reply actions

definitely

but they let these go against the other team.

Bottom line is the Vikes need to make a tackle and an extended arm shouldn’t be the difference.

Stupid ref is messing with our momentum!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:04 PM CDT up reply actions

yeah, just rewound it on TIVO - good call by ref

but Karney didn’t need to block like that – he should have just run through the dude instead of diving at him

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 8:04 PM CDT up reply actions

Tony

making fun of reggie’s “warning track power.”

I think tony can’t even bunt a decent MNF color commmentary.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:03 PM CDT reply actions

3rd and 1

Why the hell are we running a toss play? Put Deuce in and pound the ball for 1st down.

by Steve the fan on Oct 6, 2008 8:04 PM CDT reply actions

ya

that’s what i’m thinking, too.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:04 PM CDT up reply actions

Hating Howard Cosell was good for MNF ratings. I watched Howard Cosell. Tony Kornheimler, you are no Howard Cosell.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:04 PM CDT reply actions

this does not help Martin’s confidence. could be trouble.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:07 PM CDT up reply actions

we need to find another kicker anyway

martin can’t kick under pressure. That is why TB got rid of him.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:07 PM CDT up reply actions

I think that's right

it’s in his head now. Hey, Carney should be available again soon and he is hot as hell.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:08 PM CDT up reply actions

and Tony is right

We were 5 yards from a TD and that bullshit holding call screwed us huge. 14 point swing.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:07 PM CDT up reply actions

wow ouch

two times we shoulda had a first down and we murphed it both times and then the BLOCK! hang tough saints

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 8:06 PM CDT reply actions

nice run, Billy

Saints on the move. Game was not changed, TONY

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:11 PM CDT reply actions

Ow, damn Stecker. Drew did not do him a favor there.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:13 PM CDT reply actions

remember

the philly playoff game with bush getting lit up

by Steve the fan on Oct 6, 2008 8:15 PM CDT up reply actions

looked like that’s what is was going to happen

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:16 PM CDT up reply actions

Goddamn that was risky, like John McCain. Gave it to them on our 40

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:17 PM CDT reply actions

Tony K bragging about making fun of Frerotte’s injury while a Redskin. Idiot

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:18 PM CDT reply actions

I don't know about this head butting incident

Frerotte is not that bad. That incident was not that exciting. What about the dood from Jax who chopped his leg with an axe in the locker room? That seems like the dumbest thing ever.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:19 PM CDT reply actions

lucky that was time out

Boy did Gay look gay on that attempted tackle

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:20 PM CDT reply actions

totally

we have a PC commentary going here. Yet it is far less gay than Tony’s…

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 8:20 PM CDT up reply actions

If

DirecTV was in sync with WWL radio I would Mute the tv and listen to Jim Henderson

by BayouRebel on Oct 6, 2008 8:22 PM CDT up reply actions

hey bayou rebel

try pausing your TIVO feed until you synch up the radio and Satellite feeds. It takes an effort but it could work – my brother in law has made that work

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 8:26 PM CDT up reply actions

shit

Nice throw, Chester. And good catch

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:30 PM CDT reply actions

Frerotte doesn’t have much confidence, either. He was pretty wild eyed on that off sides free play

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:31 PM CDT reply actions

PT is tearing it UP

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:33 PM CDT reply actions

yeah, too bad we're not taking care of the ball too well

the DEFENSEis doing GREAT, but the offense needs to get its head back in the game. Fundamentals – throw, catch, block, convert third downs. And PT is our MVP

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 8:34 PM CDT reply actions

god damn fumbled snap again. Why is that?

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:35 PM CDT reply actions

that was sweet. Jaws “He’s a satellite, get him in space”

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:38 PM CDT up reply actions

they’d better call that face mask

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:38 PM CDT reply actions

that is BULLSHIT
HOW could Hochuli miss that facemask????

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:39 PM CDT reply actions

Can't they

challenge the fumble and in the course of reviewing the fumble call the facemask?

by BayouRebel on Oct 6, 2008 8:40 PM CDT reply actions

I don’t think so. That was a huge error on Hochuli. Huge.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:40 PM CDT up reply actions

DAMN!!!!

Hochuli is messed up in the head er’since that f’d up call in SD

by BigTMill on Oct 6, 2008 8:40 PM CDT reply actions

whistle helmet guy

Saintsational right above him in 108

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:41 PM CDT reply actions

Hell since Payton can't rip the officials post game....

He should’ve chewed his Ass til he got a 15 yard penelty during the game…. What the hell is pointing to the Jumbotron gonna do…….

This game is really getting me pissy….
Time for another bud light..

by dell00 on Oct 6, 2008 8:41 PM CDT reply actions

need to rise above it

Getting screwed, but D needs to stand tall. Too bad, since Reggie actually looks really good so far

by SaintBevo on Oct 6, 2008 8:42 PM CDT reply actions

there's a difference

1 or 2 missed or no calls is OK, but this is getting ridiculous

by Steve the fan on Oct 6, 2008 8:43 PM CDT up reply actions

lets keep a cool head

this game is still within our reach – if we lose our cool now, it won;t be that way for long

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 8:43 PM CDT reply actions

You know, Drew has already put it behind him.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:45 PM CDT up reply actions

Just

give the refs each a Viking helmet. its like 11 against 15

by BayouRebel on Oct 6, 2008 8:48 PM CDT reply actions

Man I hope you guys crush the Viqueens!!!

They way too arrogant at the beginning of this year!

GO BRONCOS!!!

by UnarmingMermaid on Oct 6, 2008 8:49 PM CDT reply actions

Not surprising!!!

Shanny is 3-12 now at Arrowhead.

That’s how bigtime rivalries work…it’s never an easy game!

GO BRONCOS!!!

by UnarmingMermaid on Oct 6, 2008 8:51 PM CDT up reply actions

Me Too

Drew to Moore would be nice right about now!

by BigTMill on Oct 6, 2008 8:51 PM CDT reply actions

Reggie is very cavalier with the ball tonight, I noticed earlier.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:56 PM CDT reply actions

time for Deuce
pound it

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 8:57 PM CDT reply actions

that was risky as hell

nice play Reggie
3rd and 22 became 1st down

I think the Saints are more in control of this game if they can settle down and quit making mistakes. Half time adjustments needed.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:02 PM CDT reply actions

yes stujo

keep cool, get a TD, and maybe our D gives us the ball back before half

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 9:03 PM CDT up reply actions

get to halftime!!!!!!

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:05 PM CDT reply actions

stuffed AP again

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:05 PM CDT reply actions

that seems to happen to Lance often

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:06 PM CDT reply actions

Uncle Charles off sides

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:06 PM CDT reply actions

yeah that’s true, the D is saving this game. Offense needs to settle down and …. keep chopping wood.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:09 PM CDT up reply actions

Tony K: “The vikings are going to go in at halftime, and they’re going to giggle. They’re just going to giggle. How are we winning this game??” Moron.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:08 PM CDT reply actions

wtf???

Uncle Charles laterals to MM?

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:11 PM CDT reply actions

BS that ball was coming out before his knee touched. That’s a fumble and Hochuli blew the play dead AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET HIM OUT OF THE NFL>>>>>>>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:13 PM CDT up reply actions

so they’ll mark the ball where MM stopped running?

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:13 PM CDT up reply actions

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ed Hochuli did not sound very convincing.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:15 PM CDT up reply actions

Seriously, Hochuli has to at least be demoted from crew chief of the officials. he is having a terrible year. Awful.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:16 PM CDT reply actions

When the Saints are on Offense

run every play towards Hochuli to try to hammer his ass.

by Steve the fan on Oct 6, 2008 9:16 PM CDT reply actions

I don’t know, he’s pretty big.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:17 PM CDT up reply actions

I say

line up the receiver with him and run the “Longest Yard” play.

by BayouRebel on Oct 6, 2008 9:18 PM CDT up reply actions

Deuce hasn’t even broken a sweat yet. A shame.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:17 PM CDT reply actions

Brad Childress is not a head coach. Who the hell is calling their plays?

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:18 PM CDT reply actions

nice coverage by Porter, keeping him on the sideline and then out of bounds

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:19 PM CDT reply actions

and again, Porter broke that up, Berrian had that in his hand.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:20 PM CDT up reply actions

Ugh

Alright, I don’t get to see too many games living in DC (now in Baltimore actually) but this is an insanely frustrating game. Little to no Deuce (despite him being effective) and an uncharacteristically bad Offense. This game is killing me and I think I am driving my neighbors crazy.

by WhoDatDC on Oct 6, 2008 9:19 PM CDT reply actions

Alright, Alright

go in get focused, come out score 27

by BigTMill on Oct 6, 2008 9:22 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah, get ready for a big second half. They can fix this easy, just settle down.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:23 PM CDT up reply actions

No team can win...

…with that many turnovers and penalties. The Saints have looked good on both sides of the ball, but they need to be focused and disciplined if they want to win the game.

by kssaints on Oct 6, 2008 9:27 PM CDT reply actions

Jesus. WTF.

I leave to grab a quick workout and…wtf happened? Where is my paper bag?!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 9:29 PM CDT reply actions

oh wow. It's THAT ref.

This hockalee (i don’t know how to spell it) is reffing. That guy is a moron. He can’t even get calls right on instant replay.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 9:31 PM CDT up reply actions

I’ve demoted him from crew chief.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:32 PM CDT up reply actions

Hochuli kind of mumbled that nonfumble call and switched off his mic real quick. Less confidence than Frerotte.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:33 PM CDT up reply actions

More BS than the tuck rule

The ball was coming out but it was in his hand so no fumble?

by Steve the fan on Oct 6, 2008 9:34 PM CDT up reply actions

expect

a heavy does of peterson in the 2nd half. Keep stopping him like we have and we’ve got a chance.

by SaintBevo on Oct 6, 2008 9:34 PM CDT reply actions

He's not going to be in New Orleans

next season. Payton has something against that dude

by BigTMill on Oct 6, 2008 9:35 PM CDT reply actions

I think you are right

He’s on the shitlist for some reason.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 9:37 PM CDT up reply actions

Harper

is a beast, but I’m worried that Peterson is going to run wild in the second half

by WhoDatDC on Oct 6, 2008 9:37 PM CDT reply actions

man that's a crock

of shit. Deuce is READY to play. Watch he goin somewhere else next year and have a pro bowl year

by BigTMill on Oct 6, 2008 9:38 PM CDT reply actions

yeah if we keep the D on the field

they are going to get tired and that is good for Peterson

by BigTMill on Oct 6, 2008 9:38 PM CDT reply actions

our D is getting tired

and they could grind us out in the 2nd half. We need a STOP and then a TD drive by Brees and Co.

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 9:38 PM CDT reply actions

Reverse Psychology

Maybe if we can talk negative the Saints will get upset and prove us wrong

by WhoDatDC on Oct 6, 2008 9:39 PM CDT up reply actions

omg, reggie

you will never return a punt down there again.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 9:39 PM CDT reply actions

dude is pressing

Coach must of been riding that ass at the half

by Steve the fan on Oct 6, 2008 9:40 PM CDT up reply actions

does the include facemask rule

include a clause saying that Bush doesn’t have one?

by SaintBevo on Oct 6, 2008 9:40 PM CDT reply actions

meant to say

does the new face mask rule include a clause saying that Bush doesn’t have one?

by SaintBevo on Oct 6, 2008 9:41 PM CDT up reply actions

dood, the refs are AWFUL!!!!

They are paid off or something. The Saints will NEVER get a call like that.

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 9:41 PM CDT reply actions

They need to give Payton his money back

for the whole criticizing the refs thing. They deserve it!!!!!!!!

by xen-cuts on Oct 6, 2008 9:41 PM CDT reply actions

GIVE IT TO DEUCE!!!

by WhoDatDC on Oct 6, 2008 9:43 PM CDT reply actions

Jaws: Play action = Drew throwing deep

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:45 PM CDT reply actions

finally we get a call. Robert Ferguson? He knows better than that.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:46 PM CDT reply actions

I love Deuce and all

but he is no threat and Vikings know it. Bush has got to be on the field. O is totally different without him out there.

by SaintBevo on Oct 6, 2008 9:47 PM CDT reply actions

You can put Bush on the end and use him as a distraction and run it up the middle with Deuce. Deuce has what, 2 carries? He is a back that will wear you down. Hopefully he is not done (due to the surgeries) but he has been effective this year when given the ball. Maybe the Payton sees something I don’t.

by WhoDatDC on Oct 6, 2008 9:51 PM CDT up reply actions

I think I read

something that Peyton said during the week where the Vikes have one of the better run Ds in the league and one of the worst pass Ds, so they were game planning for more of a passing game. May be why they haven’t been pushing the run.

by BayouRebel on Oct 6, 2008 9:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Agreed

I don’t care where he is, he just needs to be out there.

by SaintBevo on Oct 6, 2008 9:54 PM CDT up reply actions

But...

11 runs from the RBs bugs me, we have not been horrible running the ball (not great either)

by WhoDatDC on Oct 6, 2008 10:01 PM CDT up reply actions

Gus

getting a lot of time

by SaintBevo on Oct 6, 2008 9:51 PM CDT reply actions

good coverage again Tracy

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:51 PM CDT reply actions

excellent camera angle on Reggie’s punt return, he nearly ran back and around the left side there. Damn he is fast.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:53 PM CDT reply actions

Good catches, Billy and Lance. Real nice.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:55 PM CDT reply actions

Jaws: Brees throws to the receiver’s eyes. Interesting/

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:56 PM CDT reply actions

Fuck Ed Hochuli, that is bullshit.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:56 PM CDT reply actions

Devery is having a good night, glad to see it.

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 9:58 PM CDT reply actions

nice stiff arm, Reggie. He pushed that defender BACK

TonyK: Bush is no faster than other NFL players. IDIOT

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 10:01 PM CDT reply actions

however

in pushing the DB back, he lost forward progress and skipped out of bounds with a gain of 2 when he should have had at least 5

by HansDat on Oct 6, 2008 10:04 PM CDT up reply actions

good point and nicely put

Drew went over just to check in with Goodwin, rather than chewing his ass out. Where are the half time adjustments????

by stujo4 on Oct 6, 2008 10:04 PM CDT up reply actions

seriously

Kornhole doesnt know crap. Bush can freakin boogy.

Seriously, I’ve been hearing sooo long about how he’s a bust and this and that, I don’t wanna hear it anymore. The guy is sick every where, satellite, wideback, receiver back or running receiver or what. watch him score the winning TD.

I bet he gets more action in later games.

Our Oline kind of blows and they have 2 of the top 10 DT’s in the league. Deuce isnt going to be effective tonight.

SHould have done this in Denver. Run Deuce. He’s tough in short yardage and does not fumble. And let that clock run.

get the ball back with a little time to try to even the score.

by Steve the fan on Oct 6, 2008 10:59 PM CDT reply actions

by bayoumaverick on Oct 6, 2008 11:01 PM CDT up reply actions

I can't believe the mistakes tonight

the refs were awful. The saints fucked up every good thing they did. This is another thow away. This is the 2nd season of multiple throwaway games that we lost. How could we waste this?

some positives

this game doesnt affect our playoff chances (unless some goofy tiebreaker)

bush looked great and is getting in his groove

devery looked great

dline looked great

if we play this well in future games we are going to win, this kind of snakebit bad luck cant last

by nepomo on Oct 6, 2008 11:10 PM CDT reply actions

you're right

this kind of snakebit bad luck cant last

41 years of it does seem like a lot

by SaintBevo on Oct 6, 2008 11:13 PM CDT up reply actions

Too many penalties, too many turnovers, too many bad calls by refs, and an offense that went

scoreless and punchless for too long in the middle of the game. Such a shame to waste those TD returns from Reggie. WOW. This one is tough to swallow. I’m not sure what to do about Gramatica. I just think it’s too much in his head now. Reminds me of Russell Erxleben who kicked for us in the late 70’s/early 80’s. He was just AWFUL. If we can’t count on him to hit the clutch ones, he’s no good to us, I’m afraid.

by the way on dramatica...

yeah, he crossed himself…I think about 10 times before his kick…

by dell00 on Oct 6, 2008 11:15 PM CDT reply actions

first impressions

Porter took a nasty fall on his arm and I’m wondering how bad that might be….he was looking like a very reliable corner.

The Saints simply put themselves in an unwinnable situation, basically spotting the Vikings 17 points in the first half.

They need to seriously think about Grammatica. He’s old, he’s basically missed field goals that account for 2 of the saints 3 losses.

It’s early in the season, but now the MUST win most if not all of the remaining division games to have a shot.

by kssaints on Oct 6, 2008 11:15 PM CDT reply actions

looks like we better finish better then washington & minnisota....

cause we’ll be on the outside looking in, when the end of the season comes….Those were two very brutal & winnable games that we’ll have to look back at when or if we blow it & choke away our playoff hopes…

Regardless of our divisional foe’s records being all over .500% I still think outside of the west, we’ve got the weakest NFC division…which will hurt us later on… The greenbay game is gonna be highly important….

Last note of the night…
This team needs to get healthy if we’ve got any bit of a shot of making the playoffs..

by dell00 on Oct 6, 2008 11:21 PM CDT reply actions

gotta get better kicker...

I’m hurt, again we gave up this game. I got emotional about Reggie and thought it we had enough momentum to carry it through. Some of you guys need to chill out on the insults too, get emotional but don’t start insulting fellow saints fans. We all get excited, win or lose show some respect. To the rest of you guys, it was great watching the game with ya, I didn’t post much but followed. We got the Raiders next week…see ya then

by TAYDIGGA on Oct 7, 2008 12:03 AM CDT reply actions

No White Guys At Safety

Kaesvaharn sucks anus, he is slow, he got burned on the touchdown from Taylor, and that retarded “rape” of defense on a uncatchable ball at the end. WOW. The best offense in the league always somehow shoots itself in the foot, INT here, fumble here, Dropped pass here. WHY O WHY.
