The Saints signed kicker Taylor Mehlhaff, tight end Sean Ryan, defensive end Jeff Charleston and defensive tackle Montavious Stanley on Wednesday to replace several injured players.

Darrell Hunter is the new practice squad CB
I know. “Who the hell is he and why couldn’t they find an experienced CB to get into the lineup?” That would be my question at least. Wasn’t Hunter with them in training camp? Maybe they see potential there. If JaMarcus Russell burns them this Sunday, I wander if they’ll make a major move for a quality veteran CB.

JaMarcus Russell/Jason David: bad combination
When you have a quarterback who loves to throw long, and a cornerback who loves to let receivers get behind him deep, the game can turn ugly in the blink of a eye. I hope Saints fans are not writing this game off as a done deal. The Saints should win; but they should be 5-0 right now.
