Is this a WTF? or Irony? or some other word?

That Dave the F***er won the predictions last week.

Dave The F is a friend and fan of CSC (Da Chronic)

He likes it here better than on his blog. He wants to become Dave The Saintsoholic.

I like the falconer.

Dood was fun to have on the site. Talks trash without going too far over the line or anything.

Predictions

Wonder if Chris will win this one or will Dave the F***er come and win another?

1. Roby returns a kickoff for a TD.
2. PT gets 5 carries for 35 yds.
3. The Chiefs abuse Highways 42, 41, 43, 20, 31 and 28.

Bonus: Brees has great passing stats because Payton gives up on the run when the Chiefs kick a FG in the 5th minute of the first quarter to make the score 3-0.

lol

is that how he spells his name or are you funnin him Steve? Anyway

1. Brees lights them upfor 300+ and 4 tds
2. Colston catches AT LEAST 2tds
3. Reggie doesn’t play but didn’t need to we kill the Chiefs.

LOL

A Falcons fan on a Saints site has to take some heat.

by Steve the fan on Nov 14, 2008 4:02 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

The game will be tougher than most imagine

1. Brees will establish a new Saints record for passing yards.
2. The defense will establish a new Saints record for futility.
3. The Saints will actually have their first 4th quarter comeback under Payton.

Fire Gary Gibbs!

Oh, forgot to add...

If they wear those stupid stripeless black spandex cycling pants again, they’ll lose.

That's what I called them

until I realized what they actually were. I think they make the Saints confused. (“Hey, that guy ran into me deliberately! How about sharing the field, pal?”)

Congrats to Dave the Falconer

Not only did his team spank the bare asses of our Saints, but he also won our prediction contest! Nevertheless, no hard feelings. A few months ago, few would have believed that the Falcons would be playing better right now than the Saints. It just goes to show that whenever a Saints team is expected to do well, it rarely does. I expect the Chiefs to be a tougher battle than their record would indicate. Their run defense is ranked 32nd in the league, so if Payton is at all intelligent, he’ll incorporate Deuce and Pierre into the game plan much, much more this week. I’m so pessimistic about Payton’s judgment right now, that I’m actually thinking about picking them to lose. I’ll try to at least keep the predictions positive.

1. If Deuce touches the ball more than 15 times (AS HE DAMN WELL SHOULD!), Saints win. Less than that and the Saints lose.
2. Larry Johnson is held to under 80 rushing yards
3. Colston finally scores a TD.

Go Saints!!!!

I Am Behind Enemy Lines Here

LJ: 18 carries, 90 yards, 1 TD
Tyler Thigpen: 30/45, 350 yards, 3 TDs
 KC wins 35-24.

by Sudden on Nov 14, 2008 4:33 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Thigpen is my fantasy QB this week

So, if he does light up the Saints secondary like you predict, I’ll at least have that to be happy about. With LJ returning, he may be called upon less at first, but once the Saints D stuffs the run a bit, he’ll be forced to air it out and our banged-up secondary will most likely be unable to stop it.

Go Saints!!!!

by satchmo26 on Nov 14, 2008 4:41 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I can kind of agree

Although I see more of an emphasis on controlling the ball and slowing the game down with their offense.

by primetime 07 on Nov 14, 2008 4:42 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

This week, Payton does not abandon the run

Saints 37, Chiefs 30

1) Deuce has 23+ touches for 100+ combined yards (HAS to happen this week)
2) Larry Johnson is contained, runs for less than 100 yards and does not score.
3) Brees throws for 280+ yards and no interceptions.

Also, Grumps and I both make it on to TV (you KNOW what jersey I’ll be wearing)

"Coach Payton REALLY needs to string together some wins."

Hahahahaha

You’re funny.

KC leads the league in TOs forced (Tied with Bears). You really think Brees is gonna be able to avoid not throwing a pick?

by Sudden on Nov 14, 2008 4:38 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Statistics, suschmistics. I’ll see you back here Sunday after the game, pal, where one of us will be bowing down.

"Coach Payton REALLY needs to string together some wins."

If he does throw a pick, listen for that bloodcurdling scream from section 114.

"Coach Payton REALLY needs to string together some wins."

Predictions

1. Brees for 300+ yards
2. Colston for 70+ yards
3. Saints Defense for 1+ turnovers

by SaintsDynasty on Nov 14, 2008 4:37 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Saints 31 Chiefs 6

1) Deuce runs for more yards than he has this year.
2) Thigpen’s QB rating will be under 90.0
3) Sed Ellis has a better game than Dorsey

On a side note, Santa, if you can read this post or hear my thoughts, all I want for Christmas is the firing of Gary Gibbs. Now I know this would be a bad thing for him, and it usually isn’t good to wish bad things on another individual, but you have to look at the cost/benefit ratio here. Look at how many smiles you can put on Saints fans’ faces, and odds are, he can find another job at a college or something. I’m sure he’s made plenty of money too. I’m sure the other teams will dislike an action like this, but the Saints have never won a Superbowl, much less played in one, so I would say they are due. Spread the wealth man.
Wait a minute, shouldn’t he be on your naughty list? Look at the frowns he put on our faces. I shouldn’t have to ask for this. He lies every time he puts the headphones on, by pretending to be a Defensive Coordinator.
That’s all I want. And just think, by giving me this one gift, you can give millions of others the same gift with the same outcome.

Saints 27, Cheiftons 24

1. Colston = 7 catches and 1 TD
2. Moore = 7 catches
3. Shockey = useless
4. (bonus) JD SUCKS!!! Bowe takes dump on him.

by xen-cuts on Nov 14, 2008 6:55 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Hard to be Optimistic

1) Chiefs QB completes 70% of his passes

2) Deuce 7 carries, Thomas 6 carries, Stecker 4 carries

3) Payton takes full responsibility for the loss

I know, not very bold or optimistic predicitons, but what can I tell you- it’s past the midway mark and I am a Saints fan and the NFC South has 3 other above average teams- none of them are great teams and we are in last place.

by Philinwood on Nov 15, 2008 8:31 AM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

A piggyback on Philinwood's prediction

The actual quote from Payton’s press conference will be: “We’ve got to do a better job, and that starts with me.”

Fire Gary Gibbs!

by MtnExile on Nov 15, 2008 12:25 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I predict

1. Brees throws 50 passes for 500 yds.
2.Duece/PT rush 20 times for 80 yds.
3. Saints win by 3 or less.

by Nez on Nov 15, 2008 4:41 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Saints 34, Chiefs 24

1. D-line gets 3+ sacks.
2. Offense gets over 150 yds rushing.
3. Moore gets over 100 yds rec w/ 2 TDs

Roll Tide!!!

Predictions

1) Dwayne Bowe has big game vs. Saints secondary – 100+ yards and TD
2) Deuce gets 14 carries, 90+ yds and 2 TDs (1 rush, 1 rec)
3) Saints win 31-26 (Chiefs miss another 2-pt conv in 4th Q)

Bonus 4th prediction – I miss badly on all these predictions…

by HansDat on Nov 15, 2008 6:29 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Predictions

1. Drew Brees passes for 3 or more touchdowns.
2. Devery Henderson will have the longest play from scrimmage.
3. Combined points will be over 31.

by 619 Experience on Nov 15, 2008 10:17 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

back to basics

1. KC wins 31-27
2. Saints have 0 sacks
3. Saints force 0 turnovers (0 fumbles recovered, 0 ints)

by kssaints on Nov 15, 2008 11:24 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Since you guys asked for it, KC wins 38-27

1. Tyler Thigpen throws three TDs and a pick
2. Pierre Thomas manages over 50 yards on the ground
3. Drew Brees gets 300 yards

by Dave the Falconer on Nov 15, 2008 11:37 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

meaningless predictions

1. Saints will have at least 4 offensive line penalties
2. Payton will lose at least one challenge
3. Margin of victory for either eam will be at least 21 points

This one will either be real bad or real good. I’m going with the latter, given the Saints’ propensity for perpetuating false hope, preferring death by paper cuts to the guillotine. Saints 37, Chiefs 13
