Around SBN: The Amateur Mathematics Of Linsanity

"If they got common sense, they could add one plus one equals two," Smith said Thursday when asked how he would explain the situation to fans. "A diuretic is supposed to dilute your urine, and our urine wasn't diluted. It's considered a masking agent for steroids. There was no steroids found in our urine of any level, whether it's the qualifying level or it's below the qualifying level. None of that was found. So they do the math, they should be able to put two and two together and realize we was not taking steroids."

None of these guys look like they’re ’roided up.

Who was the last guy to get caught taking “steroids”? Seriously. Anybody? This is 2008. Surely someone can name a name. I’ll wait…

well just off the top of my head

on the saints roster alone i can think of matt lehr.

even if we take steroids out of the equation, i’m pretty sure diuretics are on the leagues list of banned substance are they not? if so then it doesn’t even matter why you were taking them.

They might not got no common sense, but I bet you would have an easier time defending yourself if you even bothered with verb tense.

I’m just sayin’

Are you asking who was the last Saint to get busted with roids, or who the last NFL player is?

Wikipedia on Matt Lehr:

On October 17, 2006 he was suspended for four games due to violating the NFL Substance Abuse Policy.

How do we know that means steroids? Maybe it was mary jane. Or human growth hormone.

I guess my point is, steroids are so 1995 and easily detectable now. Does anyone take them anymore?

i'll give you two reasons

a) i know matt personlly
b) i guess theoretically it could have been weed, or something else. but if you’ve paid any attention to the news at all in the last year you’d know matt was closely associated with the man who was one of largest steroid dealers in america. david jacobs was very open about the fact that he supplied ‘roids to many nfl players and even met with nfl officials to say as much. do you really think there aren’t any ’roids in the nfl??
