Week 12: Know Who You're Rooting For

Philadelphia @ Baltimore

Philadelpha could be a possible wildcard candidate so we want them to lose. Especially to an AFC team.

Root for: Baltimore

Star-divide

Houston @ Cleveland

AFC vs. AFC and both of these teams suck. Doesn't matter.

Root for: Whoever

Tampa Bay @ Detroit

Duh. This one's a longshot though. Detroit hasn't won a game yet. Getting their first W against TB would just be heaven.

Root for: Detroit

Buffalo @ Kansas City

Two more AFC teams battling it out. One more game that doesn't affect the Saints playoff chances. If you feel bad for KC feel free to pull for the Chiefs.

Root for: Doesn't matter

Chicago @  St. Louis

Chicago is actually in first place, stuck in the big jumble that is the NFC North, and a possible candidate for a wildcard. The Rams have no chance this season. It would help the Saints if the  Bears lost today.

Root for: St. Louis

NY Jets @ Tennessee

Tennessee tries to remain undefeated. If that's your thing than go ahead and root for the Titans. If you're a fan of the Brett Favre comeback story root for the Jets. As far as the Saints are concerned. It doesn't matter.

Root for: You decide

New England @ Miami

Still more AFC action that has no bearing on the Saints fortunes.

Root for: Anyone

Minnesota @ Jacksonville

Minnesota has the same record and Jacksonville is in the AFC so a Jaguar win would be optimal for the Saints this week.

Root for: Jacksonville

San Francisco @ Dallas

Dallas is another team that will be fighting for a wildcard. I don't think I can say the same about San Fran so we want the Niners in this one.

Root for: San Francisco

Oakland @ Denver

This division matchup doesn't matter in terms of the Saints playoff chances.

Root for: Who cares

Carolina @ Atlanta

According to my optimistic post earlier this week, a Panthers win would be totally fine as long as the Saints run the table but a Falcon victory would even things out a bit. I hate to say it.

Root for: Atlanta

NY Giants @ Arizona

Both of these teams are leading their divisions and will probably win them outright so this one doesn't really matter so much. I guess I'm supposed to pick the Giants because of the Manning connection.

Root for: G-Men

Indianapolis @ San Diego

The Manning connection supercedes all. This is pure AFC action but you're required then to root for the Colts.

Root for: Somebody

Washington @ Seattle

Washington is a definite front runner for one of the NFC wildcards. Seattle's disappointing season finds them no where near a playoff spot. The Saints would greatly benefit from a Skins loss.

Root for: Seattle

I can't pull for Atlanta

I have to believe that even if Carolina wins, the Saints can eventually catch them by running the table. What to pull for? Atlanta loses, but beats the crap out of Carolina physically. It could happen.

On our way to 11-5
