Dueces TD.

Ok.

Someone with the ability to watch this again take a look but...

First down

Brees throws a pass to a reciever who doesnt turn around to even look at the pass.

Second down

Duece runs in it for record.

My question.... was this a setup? Did they even TRY on that first down or was it a safe incomplete to make GB think we were not giving it to Deuce?

The general opinion here in Toronto is that it was a fakeout and the whole thing was a ploy to make sure Deuce got his TD.

If that is the case, I think we have to take a look at Coach and give him a big hug ourselves.  If I am wrong, I am still on the bubble about how he really feels about #26.

From what I understand..

Initially, the 1st down play was called a run for Deuce, but obviously the D was aware and expected the same, so Brees checked off to the pass, so the question would be whether Brees & Moore intentionally botched the play, personally I doubt they did, but it couldn’t have worked out any better.

Brees was asked about this..

and he coyly said that it was not intentional. He said with a smile, “Some things are just meant to be.” I like to think that it might have been an intentional miss to set Deuce up, considering that may have been his last Saints game (I’m fighting back the tears just thinking about the prospect of this). Whatever the intent was on that play, I’m very happy (for that time only) that it was an incomplete pass and things worked out the way they did.

Go Saints!!!!

Didn't see that..

In that case I agree, maybe Drew had something up his sleeve.

coyly eh?

I first that it was a horrible pass… Brees and horrible passes?
Thats when I got thinking that Coach had called it in.

But maybe SuperBrees did it all himself.

I was doing the happy dance when Duece went in. My poor knee is paying for it today but it was worth it.

Here's something else...

At the time I thought “why the hell didn’t Jason David try to juke out Rodgers?”

It would have been easy…cut in. Instead he ran straight into him…and got JACKED!! LOL

If David gets in, Deuce doesn’t set the record. Was David thinking about that? I doubt it, but I just wonder…

DEUCE or DIE!!!
