What Up Saints Fans?
I know you guys are riding high with Drew ripping apart the Packers. It was a good game and a great performance. Kudos to your boys.
But now you're coming out of the dome and down to Tampa - where the Bucs are 5-0 and have dominated every team they faced - including the Panthers and Falcons. I think it should be a good game but I wouldn't get your hopes up to high if I were you. You know how your Saints love to disappoint and you're going to see some of that on Sunday!
Good luck the following Sunday!
C-ya,
JC De La Torre

We're bringing points, JC

343 yards and 3 TDs
Brees in Week 1, expect much of the same on Sunday.
The offense is clicking w/ the emergence of PT, Colston healthy, Moore making plays, Shocky starting to make an impact, mix in Billy Miller, the threat of a deep ball to Devery or Meachem, all of this along w/ the D having to account for #25 to keep him out of open space every snap, too many weapons, the question comes down to IF the O line can give Brees time and open up some holes for the run?

Declaration of War!
Damn! We’re 4 days away from the game and we’ve already got Bucs fans talking smack:
I think it should be a good game but I wouldn’t get your hopes up to high if I were you. You know how your Saints love to disappoint and you’re going to see some of that on Sunday!
It appears our most heated rivalry within the division is with the Bucs. They’re still pissed about that week-one loss. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see as I’m still not certain which Saints team (the good, the bad, or the ugly) will show up in Tampa this Sunday. If it’s the one we saw Monday night, it may be a bad day for Bucs fans.
Right on asaint!
It’s SO F-IN ON!!!!!
Go Saints!!!!

In all seriousness
The Packers play man-to-man: beat the corners and you’re home free. That’s what happened.
The Bucs play Cover 2, and play it better than anyone. You have to grind it out against them. We may have a couple long plays, but we can’t expect enough lightning to power the state like we got Monday night.
This one is going to be grueling. But I honestly believe that if the Saints are on top of their game, and focused on doing whatever it takes to win, that the score will be pretty much what it was the first time. Say 27-23 or thereabouts.

Yup yup!
We’ll need to play smart, mistake-free ball, and a few Reggie Bush lightning strikes would help out, too.
I’m really looking forward to watching this game to see how we do after this latest big win, and see what we might expect for the rest of the season…
Indeed, it is ON.
"One thing that we've talked about is pulling off five, six games in a row," McAllister said. "Well, you had to get two before you got six."

Glad to see I could rile you guys up! I sincerely hope the Saints play like they did in Week 1 – because I know that Jeff Garcia now has shaken all the rust off he can pass all over that weak Saints secondary. As for Drew – he’ll get his yards, he always does – but isn’t that always the way it is for you guys? He gets the yards and touchdowns, the Saints get the loss.
And I know fans of a just barely above .500 football team and talking about how the Bucs started against the Lions – they were down 17 and ended up winning by 18.
I dislike the Saints because they are the ESPN poster child. While the better teams in the division duke it out for supremacy, ESPN gushes all over the Saints because of Brees and the offense. That offense is great and Drew is great – but you have to be A TEAM to win in this league. The Saints came in with all the hype and its gotten them to the cellar of the NFC South.
You will not win in Tampa and whatever hopes you have for your season will end there.

The Bucs don’t get love from ESPN because they’re not the Cowboys
The Saints don’t get love from ESPN because they’re not the Cowboys.
The Giants get a little bit of love because they won the SuperBowl and have a good team this season, but I hear that they’re not the Cowboys.
But the Cowboys don’t get all the love because they’re not the Patriots.
Oh, but of course, the Patriots take a back seat to Brett Favre.
And so goes the ESPN love chain.

Garcia has proven he can only go so far- never wins the big ones
That’s why, with all his talent, he is only the best journeyman quarterback in the league and not in the company of Brees, the Mannings, Kurt Warner, Brady, etc.

You’re right Garcia hasn’t won the Big one…but this just in – neither has Mr. MVP Drew Brees. You Saints fans can’t tell me that ESPN and FOX haven’t been falling all over you guys. Hell, during a national broadcast on Sunday, Moose Johnson talked Saints, Carolina, and Atlanta and actually FORGOT about the 8-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As for Saintsational – of course I realize its a Saints blog, that’s why I’m here. Believe me, if the Saints do find a way to win, I’ll be back to give the proper respect. I’m not a post trash then if my team loses don’t come back kinda dude. Unfortunately, the entire NFC south is screwed that way by the Blitz. Remember its an East coast bias, so that means they’ll be all over the NFC East teams while ignoring the toughest division in football. Even so, when they do talk NFC South, its Saints this and Saints that.
As a division, we’re sick of it and the Bucs are going to put a bullet in the chamber and send the Saints to their maker.
While this is all in fun, I do wish you guys a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Take care and be safe – we’ll continue this on Friday!

Win or lose, at least we don’t act like a spurned little girl whose mummy and daddy don’t give her enough attention. Are all Tampa fans this way? Maybe there’s something in the water.

The Difference Between Garcia and Brees
First of all, I didn’t see any media bias at all. In fact, I saw analysts completely leave out the Saints in their playoff picture analysis but include TB, Carolina and Atlanta. No problem, no bias, makes sense. The Saints are a much longer shot than the other NFC South teams to make the playoffs- and others too. But, there is a big difference between Garcia abd Brees. Brees is 29 years old in his prime, Garcia is 38 and on the downswing at almost 40. Garcia has played for 5 different teams and sometimes has been a starter, sometimes not. Sometimes he has played well, sometimes he has not. Brees, on the other hand has played almost as many seasons, but has always been a starter. He has basically played well every season he has been in the NFL and was good enough to start about 8 years in age before Garcia. Brees has only played on 2 teams and might still be on the Chargers if he hadn’t had a at severe injury that made the Chargers question his ability to return and with Rivers waiting in the wings, that decision was a no-brainer (even though I think Brees is better than Rivers- they had to make snap decision three years ago. And, Brees is having a passing season that may break the record and if it doesn’t, it’s still a big story because his numbers are unbelieveable.

It’s getting a bit heated in here haha. This is gonna be a great game as it usually is. I’m pretty sure the players are as in to this rivalry as we all are. I expecting a lot of talk on the field and probably some late shoving too, it’s gonna be awesome. Hopefully our defense can play like they did in the second half on monday. It’s amazing what they can do when Gibbs calls some blitzes and gets creative :/.

Nope, I was pretty confident throughout, especially when I saw the weather. I actually thought the Bucs offense played like garbage, should have done a lot more against that defense.
Its cool though…and the Bucs won’t be one and done this year – but hey, even if we are, we got there. Better than sitting at home wondering what it feels like to see your team play in a playoff game.
Hey, I’m happy you guys finally got your one and only playoff victory a couple years ago. I hope you enjoyed it.

I am WAY too sensitive
Got in a fight with my brother after Thanksgiving dinner. He said about the Saints: “…. yeah, but they’re a DOME team…..”
That’s not what we fought about, but it sure didn’t help.
