Matchups To Watch: Yahoo Tampa Bay page:

Saints WR Devery Henderson vs. Bucs CB Ronde Barber—Henderson burned Barber for a long TD in their first meeting, kicking off what has been a sub-par season for the four-time Pro Bowler. But Barber is coming off a two interception performance at Detroit, including one he returned 65 yards for a score.

Bucs RB Warrick Dunn vs. Saints LB Jonathan Vilma: Dunn is playing without a safety net after RB Earnest Graham was placed on IR with a high ankle sprain. Dunn responded at Detroit last week with 90 yards rushing and says, at 33, he can handle the bulk of the rushing load.

Bucs WR Antonio Bryant vs. Saints CB Jason David: Bryant is the go-to WR for the Bucs and can make some runs after the catch. He’s become QB Jeff Garcia’s favorite target since WR Joey Galloway has not caught a pass in the past two games and has caught only four passes in his past four games. David is coming off a rare, two interception game Monday night against the Packers’ Aaron Rodgers.

yahoo Saints page sees it differently
Saints CB Randall Gay vs. Bucs WR Antonio Bryant: Gay is coming off two solid games in which he broke up four passes in a win over Kansas City and getting three more in a victory over Green Bay. He’ll likely be matched up with Bryant, the Bucs’ leading receiver, on first and second downs before sliding into the nickel in obvious passing situations.

Green Bay safety Nick Collins put it simply: "We got embarrassed."

the matchup I'm really concerned about is

LB Derrick Brooks vs. Saints offense

I know he’s a 14-year graybeard, but he is a monster and if I remember correctly, he got injured early in the game back in September, and missed some plays and was much less effective when he was in the game.

He will be someone to watch out for…

But we might get lucky b/c he was featured in an SI story this week,

http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1149153/index.htm

so maybe the SI Jinx will curse him…

"One thing that we've talked about is pulling off five, six games in a row," McAllister said. "Well, you had to get two before you got six."

SI Jinx

…to the rescue! Like calling the cavalry…thanks, Peter King.

Up next: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers meet the buzzsaw...
