No Update on StarCaps Appeals

In an effort to maybe get more information from the NFL about the StarCaps Six and to try and find out at least when we would get a ruling, I emailed Greg Aiello the NFL's Senior VP of Public Relations. You have probably heard his name before in random articles. He was kind enough to quickly respond to my query (on a holiday weekend!). Here is what he had to say.

We are going to continue to respect the required confidentiality about these cases until there is a resolution. We know that fans are interested and we will communicate about this matter as soon as possible. In the meantime, I invite you to read the NFL policy on steroids and related substances...You can see the specific language on diuretics and water pills in the policy and also in the appendix. I think you will find it interesting. We appreciate your interest and your support of the Saints and the NFL.

I know we are all waiting patiently to find out the fate of our favorite running back and expensive defensive end but I am afraid we will have to continue to wait. Sorry, I tried. The good news is that the league respects us enough to give us an honest, quick and respectful reply as opposed to ignoring us completely.
