Around SBN: Knicks 90, Raptors 87: "Shump and Lin wouldn't let us lose."

Wow, the Bucs are really good

Star-divide

The Bucs have an 8-3 record, very impressive.  They beat division rivals Carolina and Atlanta.  Their defense is awesome and scrappy, wiry Jeff Garcia has a new target in a guy who sat out last year because no one wanted him.  Bryant.  So they recycle too, very commendable.  So, 8-3, who else did they beat this year, since they are so dominant?  Tennessee?  Did they beat Tennessee?  No, didn't play them.  New England?  No, not on the schedule.  They played Denver.  Oh.  Lost to Denver.  Did they play the Jets?  No. Minnesota?  YES!  They did play Minnesota and won!  Mark that down.  Who else?  Chicago?  YES!  Brian "Brain" Urlacher got out defensed by the Bucs, good job.  Green Bay?  YES!  They out played the awesome Green Bay secondary and prevailed over Aaron Rodgers.  Check.  Ok, so who else did the Bucs beat this year?  Seattle, Kansas City and Detroit.  Wow.  Hmmm...  OK.  Did they play Indy?  No.

All right, here's my point.  I'm seeing some traditional Saint fan lack of confidence here lately and I don't like it.  The Bucs are good. Pretty good.  But what have they shown the league so far this year?  Not much more than the Saints.  Bucs are favored by 3.5.  2.5 of that is their home field advantage.  So 1 point.  Drew Brees wipes his ass with single points.  COME ON!  Chug that Kool-aid, lace up your Heaven's Gate Nikes and let's see some modest swagger.  No need to boast, no need to talk landfill trash, just show everybody you got a pair.  Who dat?!!??!!

forgot Dallas

The Bucs sailed on down to Dallas and…. scored 9 points. And got beat. Nevermind. As you were.

Green Bay safety Nick Collins put it simply: "We got embarrassed."

Fox Sports power rankings: Bucs 5, Saints 17

Now tell me again, who gets the favorable although unfair and undeserved media coverage?

It’s somewhat troubling that Tampa has dug itself a three-score deficit in the first half in two of the last three games, and against the NFL’s two worst teams (Chiefs and Lions). The good news: The Bucs still came back to win, and this is not a team necessarily built for comebacks.

SPEAK IT, BROTHER!!!

What did we do to Green Bay when we got a bit of a lead on them…WE EFFING BURIED THEM WITH A 21-point THIRD QUARTER. Watch it, Tampa.

I know you’re not the same Bucs we played in September, but we aren’t the same Saints, either.

Is it GO TIME yet????

think back to the first game we played them

we beat them once without hollis thomas, without deuce being ready (reggie’s first game back too), sedrick ellis first game as a pro, vilmas first game as a saint, they had ernest graham, we had an injured schockey, bad kicker, bad punter, and fujita played injured the second half, and moore hadn’t really emerged as a go to guy yet . Anything can happen, but we were far from full strength on either side of the ball. If we play like we played vs GB, we win. Same goes for weeks 14,15,16,17 etc.

The Bucs also crushed Atlanta 8-4 and Carolina 9-3….but I saw you conveniently left that out. I guess that Saints lack of confidence was well founded.
