Well, there's one possible suspension we won't have to worry about.
Although I haven’t been very impressed with Grant’s pass rush so far this season, I still think this is a big loss. Bobby McCray will get more snaps now, but the D-line depth takes a hit. I guess we now know who the Saints have dropped from the roster to make room for Thomas. I’m starting to really believe that this just isn’t our year.
Go Saints!!!!

How do you damage a tricep?

Damaged triceps
was the reason Hollis Thomas was placed on IR also. It required surgery which would have taken him out for close to half the season. They then negotiated with him to release him so he could be re-signed after the mid-point of the season when he was healed instead of losing him for the whole year. Perhaps Grant has the same injury?

rotoworld.com:
Grant was waiting to hear back about involuntary manslaughter charges and his appeal with the NFL on steroid policy violations. Perhaps the Saints just thought Grant was no longer worth it. Grant was playing better this year, but he hasn’t been a difference-maker since signing a huge contract before 2007. Grant has a low base salary next season, so there’s a good chance he’ll be back in the Nola. November 3 – 2:52 p.m. ET
Good chance???

I think he'll lose his game checks he would've got while on IR
is that if/when he is suspended four games by the NFL for testing positive for a banned diuretic, he can serve his penalty while on injured reserve.

wow
I’m getting the sinking feeling this may be the game the Saints flame-out for the year. Too many injuries and too many distractions. I would say maybe next year…but we’ve dealt away most of our draft picks. My solution: GO HORNETS. It’s such a different feeling to support a winning team!
