Just in time for Deuce: Carl Nicks takes over
Rotoworld:
Rookie Carl Nicks has claimed the Saints' starting left guard position over Jamar Nesbit.
This is a promising development for New Orleans, as Nicks has a ton of upside in the run game. At 6'5/341 he is built to be a mauler. The Saints stole Nicks in the fifth round after an off-field incident dropped his draft stock.

He plays next to one of our champion underachievers
Let’s hope he rubs off on Jammal, rather than the other way around.

exactly
How do you combat complacency? It one thing to play hurt, and another to get old and have your skills diminish. But what about just dogging it out there for the game check? What’s wrong with an atmosphere where everyone is looking over their shoulder at the guy who wants their job? Maybe Payton has had enough and showed it with the kicker and punter cuts. If he cuts somebody on the offense it’ll go a long way to show he means business.

Then he should work Bushrod and Strief more
Because outside of Evans, that entire line needs a fire lit under their butts.
