McCray
Actually making a play – not used to that from our DEs
by SaintBevo on Nov 9, 2008 12:43 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That had to be offensive pass interference
What else could Glenn do there.
by SpindianSaints on Nov 9, 2008 12:44 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
We have no pressure
and our CBs can’t cover.
by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 12:44 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Aaron Glenn
Are you kidding me? Is that the best he can do?
by SaintBevo on Nov 9, 2008 12:44 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yep
That is it. Gibbs should know and get him help to defend by doubling or blitzing.
by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 12:45 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
WIth gas prices dropping
I might drive down to New Orleans and take Gibbs out.
by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 12:44 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
O is going to have to score TDs
Otherwise we have no chance.
by SpindianSaints on Nov 9, 2008 12:45 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Thank God
we practiced well, or we might be looking really bad
by SaintBevo on Nov 9, 2008 12:45 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
that deep ball Ryan threw, was grossly underthrown as well… No reason, Glenn shouldn’t have time to break up that pass
by dell00 on Nov 9, 2008 12:46 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
OK boys
We need a time consuming drive to give Gibbs time to make those famous adjustments

I was gonna ask earlier…. Why Roby on kickoffs??? Why not Devery?
by dell00 on Nov 9, 2008 12:50 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I thought that too. I can only assume they don’t trust DH to field the ball every time.

Ok…only an 8 point game.. could be a whole lot worse
by dell00 on Nov 9, 2008 12:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
we are within a TD
and a famous Reggie Bush end around 2-pt conversion. Oops, nevermind
by MobileSaint on Nov 9, 2008 12:55 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
We could be down 21-6 had atlanta scored after the INT
by dell00 on Nov 9, 2008 12:55 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
D is going to have to blitz more
We cannot cover them with rushing 4 anyway so why not at least put some presssure on the QB. Gibbs needs to dial it up a little bit.
by SpindianSaints on Nov 9, 2008 12:58 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
But we Don't blitz..
We probably blitz less then any other team in the NFL

rotoworld.com:
As a healthy inactive, Meachem has fallen a long way from the preseason hype. The returns of Marques Colston and David Patten and the emergence of Lance Moore and Devery Henderson have left him without an offensive role.

move Brown to RT, start our backup LT (whose name escapes me, but they always talk about how much they like).

They should have went to him on third down and 2 in the endzone

by Dave the Falconer on Nov 9, 2008 1:26 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

Hopefully Abraham can't make it back

by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 1:27 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
He might not
His injury history makes me really skittish.
by Dave the Falconer on Nov 9, 2008 1:30 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
You've probably noticed
That he’s the only pass-rushing threat we have. If he goes down, Brees should have plenty of time.

Yep
CBs that can cover and break up passes
by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 1:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
We made a change this week
That I think has helped a lot. The Falcons sat Brent Grimes in favor of Domonique Foxworth, who is bigger and has better coverage instincts.

We're averaging 8.8 yards on first down and we're behind by 11?
Wha..How…WTF??
by SaintBevo on Nov 9, 2008 1:43 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
that 8.8 yards on 1st down is misleading because of the long end around run by Henderson

by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 2:09 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
If the falcons do what they’ve done all season, their offense should stumble in this second half… We need some scores, but as stated, by someone earlier this week…Payton is something like 0-17 when trailing in the 4th quarter…

Who else would you bring in.
It is not like a coaching change is going to the change the fact that ten times ou of ten Shanle would have been beat by Norwood on that play. We just do not have the players to compete on defense.
We need to cut Charles Grant, maybe even Will Smith and start relaoding thru draft choices. Porter looked like a player, play Usuma and see if he has anything. We need to look at saftey as well because of them stink.

You can’t just blame the players. Good goaches make mediocre players look good; bad coaches make mediocre players look crappy

I would like to know what game film and scouting reports
Gibbs and his defensive staff went over to prepare for this game. Because coming off of a bye, we should have been prepared for everything and had a plan to disrupt Matty Ice.

Nothing worse then sitting at a sports bar, watching your team get smoked & getting clowned by your cronies

This just in
Matty Ice outplaying Cool Brees

Most important game of the season
and that’s what we got from our team? Just can’tt blame it all on Gibbs and Payton
by FrenchFreak on Nov 9, 2008 2:22 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
YES WE CAN
Ultimately it’s their responsibility to prepare the players both mentally and physically for the upcoming game, they didn’t do it today. Gibbs hasn’t done a good job at anything this year, not to mention last year. Fire his ass.

GREATEST PLAYCALL EVER
the old run around the field and throw it away

Hell of a drive
And I’m suddenly as uncomfortable as I would be if Grady Jackson sat on me.

(:56?
and short kick? How long can I defend Payton…..
by FrenchFreak on Nov 9, 2008 2:36 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Absolutely no execution
Almost as if they DIDN"T PRACTICE the onsides kick.

by SaintBevo on Nov 9, 2008 2:39 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Damn
I honestly forgot, that they did just pick this guy up.
by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 2:40 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Payton
has no faith in the defense or Gibbs to stop the Falcons. Hopefully, this means Gibbs will be gone at the end of the season.

If we could only have a bye to fix it all...Oopps, we did....
by FrenchFreak on Nov 9, 2008 2:38 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
We never win after the bye week
KC next week is better antedote
by SpindianSaints on Nov 9, 2008 2:39 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Which is why there is no excuse
we should be rested and ready and not shitting the bed

Yep…. Bosselli, I dont like ya, but you’re right… now they’ve got us backed up
by dell00 on Nov 9, 2008 2:40 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Can we Score in 4 minutes
There is plenty of time, Payton panicked but we are still in this
by SpindianSaints on Nov 9, 2008 2:40 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Not a matter of us scoring
the defense couldn’t stop the Raiders at this point

I'm going to come to your defense's defense
ANYONE can stop the Raiders.

But I’ll bet you a shiny sixpence.
by Dave the Falconer on Nov 9, 2008 2:44 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Payton should’ve looked at the Falcons tendencies to fold up camp in the 2nd half & not panicked… Instead, he’s relying solely on his offense to get him back in the game
by dell00 on Nov 9, 2008 2:42 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Where’s the flag?? Looked like he was hit early on that one

David Patten

makes since now, but not earlier

Pierre Thomas
I know it doesn’t make sense in this game, but I remain convinced that he would be a great feature back for you guys. Just my (worthless) two cents.
by Dave the Falconer on Nov 9, 2008 2:48 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
The problem
is that Payton would rather throw 60 some odd times than run the ball.
by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 2:50 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
How bad are we?
Falcons’D looks like the Titans

by Steve the fan on Nov 9, 2008 3:09 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
In fact
“Malaise” means being very uncomfertable with that much of a kick in the ass but number 9 still gets to shine in NFL ranking….

My best wishes for your defense going forward and may you ALWAYS destroy the Bucs.

Scary part?
The best team won today. Think your greatest asset was loosing Petrino, not Vick. We’ve been outplayed AND outcoached….
by FrenchFreak on Nov 9, 2008 3:14 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Mike Smith
Is turning out to be a very good coach for us. Losing Petrino and picking him up was like crashing your Pinto and getting a Porsche.

Well it is official
we suck – sitcj a fork in us, we’re done.
We’re going to learn over the next 7 weeks who wants to be here and who doesn’t.

If Payton can keep this team together or if we need to start the death watch
