Saints OC Doug Marrone Accepts Syracuse Head-Coaching Job

Looks like our offensive coordinator will be leaving us after the season. Adam Shefter Reports. Why can't this be Gary Gibbs getting a college coaching job? I think we would all prefer that.

New Orleans will hold on to its suspended players this season, but it just lost its offensive coordinator.

Saints offensive coordinator Doug Marrone accepted the Syracuse head-coaching job, a New Orleans source confirmed.

Marrone interviewed for the job after the Saints’ victory over the Falcons on Sunday and was offered the job today. Marrone is in Chicago and will coach the Saints tonight and presumably for the rest of the season before heading off to his new job and life in Syracuse.
