Can you find out what Brees’ passer rating is from the shotgun as opposed to from under center? Seems to me a third down is a lot easier to defend if you know a pass is coming.

But do the Saints ALWAYS play the Bears IN Chicago? In 06 I can understand the playoffs and the format of who has home filed, but last year and again this year both in Chicago? Just wondering…

I am way late on this
but had to see if anyone else on the thread thought there should have been a flag for 15 yards unsportsmanlike conduct on the Pierre Thomas TD run.
I was jumping up and down in the den screaming for a flag, but me wife says I am sometimes overprotective of Pierre.
How that wasn’t a flag is still beyond me. There was more contact than Harper made with Hester in OT on the PI call, and with intent and to the head.

Son of a bitch. I watched it over and over. I think he was trying to force a fumble by coming over the top to knock the ball away. Except PT was already in the endzone. It ended up being an awkward backward punch to PT’s upper chest, although I thought he might have caught PT on the chin. PT didn’t seem to mind so he probably hit him on the front of his shoulder pad. Still, that was an Oakland Raider style bullshit thug move, definitely unsportsmanlike conduct, and should have been flagged. At a Raiders-Chiefs game, that sort of thing causes a melee ending up in offsetting penalties. Which is how it should be. You can’t let punks get away with that shit, then they don’t respect you.
The officiating in this game was poor but it probably evened out for the Saints. Disappointed in head ref Mike Carey, his crew should be better than that.

On another note, who is the defensive coordinator? He has to be fired on the plane because there have been too many defensive collapses.
If the worst happens, I think the Saints need to draft a guy in the secondary, because Chasin’ David and the immortal Kaeshviharn are not quality players.
Taylor Mays and/or Malcolm Jenkins would be great choices.
