Tough Loss Guys
On another note, who is the defensive coordinator? He has to be fired on the plane because there have been too many defensive collapses.
If the worst happens, I think the Saints need to draft a guy in the secondary, because Chasin’ David and the immortal Kaeshviharn are not quality players.
Taylor Mays and/or Malcolm Jenkins would be great choices.
My 2 cents….good night! Play in the snow….
Seattle, the world's worst sports city.

Not as disappointing...
if you have up hope weeks ago.
Team is stuck in neutral since NFC championship game and Payton needs to make some adjustments to staff and philosophy. More balanced offense is a step in the right direction, but will we stick with that?

I wasn't quite done with the game thread yet
I prefer to swear in the original game thread. Shit. See? Not the same. Boy that Shockey sure looked like shit didn’t he? 1 catch 11 yards at least one drop
I’m writing a letter to Rita.

Payton just blamed it on special teams and the safeties

Deion is bagging on Drew
Different QB on the road, took himself out of MVP tonight, has to be able to lead his team to the playoffs on the road

ESPN is pissing on Payton...
Calling the Saints play calling lackluster.
And Im beginning to think theyre on to something.
Calling that wide pass on 3rd and inches (or was it fourth down?)
Sean’s best calls were in his first year when he ran so many trick plays that have gotten old and he can’t call anymore..

here's my bottom line
That was an ugly game, except for PT. Even if Orton messed it up and lost it late in regulation, I think I’d feel the same. It’s a bit of a relief, actually. They’ll beat Detroit and I’ll get to watch them probably beat Carolina, once it is too late. Saints have always played the spoiler role well, when it’s too late for them.
How many more years of this do I have? I’m going to die before the Saints win a championship. At least I’ll outlive M-E. My only consolation.

Just wanted to stop in and throw some congrats your way for the tough play
We had you beat pillar to post and you game back and almost pulled this one out. I lost a lot of finger nails toward that end of that game.

Piss poor, obviously
This is 2 years in a row the damn Bears have thrown the ball down the field in hopes of getting a PI, and it was granted and they win the game. Their two big plays were 50 yard PI’s. On the first one David was called for it. BUT AT LEAST HE WAS IN THE FUCKING VICINITY! CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE WAS THE FUCKING SAFETY??? He wasn’t even in the picture. And the last PI…on the fucking safety. Think about it people. Our wrath has been focused on the wrong positions. Sure, cornerback has had it’s issues, but its the worthless safeties on this team that have killed this season. The play for me that epitomises the play of the safeties was last week against ATL. Turner was stopped for minimal gain, when Bullocks flies in and blows the two Saints off the runner, spining him free!! I had to rewind it because I couldn’t believe my eyes. It like he was playing for the other team. It was Pathetic.
They killed it last year too. Safety needs to be the number one priority in the offseason. I feel so strongly about that, that I wouldn’t mind if Gibbs comes backif we upgrade that position!! Thats right. You read it correctly. We’re pretty damn good against the run. Its that pass that has killed us, and I can give you a list a mile long of plays that killed us that had poor safety play involved. I think that if we can get a playmaking safety in either the draft or free angency (both hopefully) that our defense will be in the top half in the league. I truly believe that.
Here’s what needs to happen:
Sign Dunta Robinson. Have you guys seen him play? That dude hits like a firecracker. He’s all of 5’11", 190, buts lays the wood down. Being from Houston, I get to see him, and I love him. Fearless. He will be a FA, and hopefully is sick of loosing.
Either go after that Giants safety, if he’s available, athen draft one of the 3 bad ass safeties that will go in the first round. Taylor Mays? Make a Trojan our first pick 3 out of 4 years.
Bottom Line: GET NEW SAFETIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

disagree
Its not just the Safeties.
Look up job description for the position.
Tell me where the F*** it says babysit JD so much.
Watch that PI call on Harper again. I cant. But to me it looked like he was going in for a blitz or run support and the ball was underthrown. Hester hit the brakes, Harper ran into before he could get his head turned around. PI? yup. ESPECIALLY when the series before F’ing JD looked like he was trying to, hell i cant come up with a description of what he was trying to do.
Does Harper deserve to be a goat for it? I dont think so… Prove me wrong if you can I wont mind.
