Saints @ Lions: Game Predictions

Ron the fan
For the second straight week, Ron the fan is our winner. Props to him for having last weeks most accurate predictions.
And now, it's your turn to try and de-throne Ron the fan this week. There are only two weeks left before the end of the season and that means only two more chances to win our weekly contest.
Make 'em count!

Predictions
1. Pierre – 100+ total yards and at least 1 TD
2. Colston and Moore have at least 50 yards each
3. Defense has at least 2 turnovers
Saints 37, Lions 35
1) Calvin Johnson makes Jason David his little bitch, scores at least twice while running up and down the field reminding everyone of Randy Moss except that Calvin actually runs his routes on every play.
2) Drew throws for 350+ yards trying to keep up with Orlovsky.
3) PT has less than 100 yards rushing and the Saints are behind at the top of the 4th quarter causing all of us to wish that we had on a pair of Granddad’s Depends.
Saints 30, Lions 27
1. PT goes over 100 yards rushing
2. Colston has a TD catch
3. Shockey has a TD catch
Blowout
Everyone thinks the Lions are going to play angry and win—or at least come close. I think the Saints are going to play angry, and the Lions are going to play depressed.
1. Saints score on every possession (exclusive of kneel-downs).
2. What, that’s not enough? I get that one right, and I win the week, I don’t care what Saintsational says.
Three years of deteriorating results is enough. Replace Gary Gibbs!
predictions...
1. Drew Brees throws for over 350 yards and 3 touchdowns.
2. Pierre Thomas goes for over 150 total yards and two scores.
3. Saints defensive line gets three sacks on Dan-O.

Saints 33-16
1) Saints get three turnovers from Lions
2) Brees throws for over 300 yards
3) Saints give up only 1 touchdown on defense and win 33-16
I wish I could hope for the Saints to lose so they could get a better draft pick, but that would be humiliating
Saints 24, Lions 28
If my Saints history has taught me anything, it’s that if Detroit beats anybody this year it will be the Saints. No matter how bad the team is, and no matter how good the Saints are, the Saints will always lose to an awful team.
1. Brees, trying to get the record, will throw 3 picks.
2. Detroit will rush for over 125 yds.
3. Special teams gives up another TD.
Most powerful is the one who controlls his power.
no score prediction from me this week
1) Vilma returns an INT 3 yards for a TD
2) Shockey gets 100+ yards receiving and a scores a 1-yard rushing TD (as Payton’s short-yardage plays get increasingly convoluted (much to our increasing dismay).
3) The Saints try the most unexpected move ever and open the game with an onside kick (as Payton has told the special teams coach to open up the playbook and play like there’s no tomorrow) but it goes horribly wrong for the Saints as Josh Bullocks’ brother, Daniel, catches it on the fly and then runs untouched into the end zone for the Lions’ only score of the game.
GO SAINTS!!! Do NOT give the Lions an early Christmas present!!

Predictions
1. Moore has 5 catches.
2. McCray has 2 sacks and a forced fumble.
3. Saints special teams have a kick off return for a TD.
Saints win 45 - 21
1)Drew throws at least 4 TDs
2) Saints get 4+ sacks
3) Shockey gets his first TD (sooner or later, this prediction will come true)
WHO DAT
Saints win big, shame it don't count for anything.................
1) Colston has a big game 150 yds 2 td’s
2)Drew racks up yardage 350 plus, 3 td’s
3) Lance & Pierre are steady as ever with solid game.
I'm gonna go with my dream...
hopefully I’m totally wrong..
Saints give detroit first win
CJ catches everything on our secondary
A saint running back fumbles
Don't worry I got your back cuz...
8-7
Everyone on TV and on-line are trying to come off as intelligent by picking the Lions to win today. I don’t really care about our Saints getting to 8-7, winning one on the road, or even finishing out this season better than the last as much as I want them to get this frickin’ win to prove these A-holes wrong. I hope the team is seeing the predictions of all these wanna-be experts and using that for motivation.
Prognostications:
1. Pierre rushes for close to 100 yards and scores 2 TDs.
2. Payton, with nothing left to play for except getting his QB the passing yards record, will call many pass plays, especially a lot of little drop-off passes to Pierre; Brees throws for 400+ yards and 2 TDs.
3. MtnExile will be correct on his one and only prediction and thereby win the week. :-)
Go Saints!!!!

Football is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.
