Lions coach Rod Marinelli refused Monday to accept an apology Detroit News columnist Rob Parker attempted to make after asking an inappropriate question at Sunday’s post-game press conference.
Parker asked Marinelli if he wishes his “daughter had married a better defensive coordinator.” Lions DC Joe Barry is Marinelli’s son in law. “Anytime you attack my daughter, I’ve got a problem with that,” the coach said Monday. “In a room of stink…and as a man and it was premeditated. I think there was something wrong with that.” Parker could easily be fired over the incident.
