Let's hear it for Deuce, one more time
This didn't get enough recognition:
"Saints running back Deuce McAllister, who may be playing in his final game with the team on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, surpassed the 6,000-yard mark in career rushing against the Lions.
McAllister, the Saints’ all-time leading rusher, had 5,995 rushing yards going into the game. He went over 6,000 yards on his first carry of the afternoon, an 18-yard gallop up the middle.
McAllister finished the game with 61 yards on nine carries with a 2-yard TD run in the first quarter. His average of 6.8 yards was his highest of the season and his 19-yard burst in the fourth quarter was his longest run this year.
The eight-year veteran’s career rushing total now stands at 6,056 yards."

Hip hip hooray!!
Deuce, Deuce, he’s our man, if he can’t do it, nobody can!!!!!
Thanks for highlighting this, Stujo. I really hope he can stay a Saint next year, but I don’t think he’s in Payton’s plans…

Wait until he rushes for 160 against the Panthers
Wouldn’t that be something?
Anyone else realize we have it within our power to give the division title to Dave the Falconer? Wouldn’t that be something?
Three years of deteriorating results is enough. Replace Gary Gibbs!

YES!!! Talk about a MEANINGFUL game...
During that great Sunday night game, I was telling my wife that I wanted the Panthers to beat the Giants so they’d be resting their starters vs. us next week, but now that we’re in this position, I think I much prefer the idea of us being a part of deciding who gets the Division title and the bye. As much as I hate the Falcons as a bitter rival, I actually think I’d rather knock the Panthers off the top of the NFC South mountain. This must be what non-Saints fans felt towards us in 2006…
GO SAINTS GO!!!!!
