Predictions

1. Brees comes up short in his bid for the passing record.
2. Defense gets a sack and an INT.
3. Saints have a special teams TD on a blocked punt.

by Steve the fan on Dec 26, 2008 2:20 PM CST reply actions

This should be fun

1. Only 1 Carolina running back will have a 100 yard rushing game.
2. Pierre Thomas however will rip up the Panthers for a minimum of 80 yards rushing and 40 yards receiving.
3. Saints win in a stunning upset and help Atlanta clinch the NFC South (because the Falcons will tear up the Rams).

It's almost game time when this segment pops up - YEAH!!

1. Brees breaks the record on a 4th quarter TD pass to Shockey.
2. Randall Gay gets an INT
3. Brees gets his first rushing TD of the season on a QB sneak in the 1st Q

Saints 34, Panthers 31

1. Saints will come from behind to win in the 4th quarter.
2. Brees will break 5,000, but not 5,084.
3. Shockey will leave the game due to injury.

Three years of deteriorating results is enough. Replace Gary Gibbs!

by MtnExile on Dec 26, 2008 3:57 PM CST reply actions

Damn!

Shockey’s already out! There goes my last shot at it. Why don’t they just cut the guy and be done with it…fill his spot with something that isn’t so easily injured, like a Ming vase or a soda cracker?

Projection

1. The saints will lose by 10

Saints 15, Panthers 28

1. Breeze makes a pact with the Panther D that they will let him complete all passes, as long as he purposely misses in the red-zone, .
2. Breeze breaks the 400+ record.
3. Panthers land the 2nd NFC playoff seed.

Everybody goes home happy :)

Deuce is loose!

1. Payton shows some class and gives Deuce the majority of runs 15+ for 75+
2. Brees comes up short, but not for a lack of trying over 35+ passes
3. In the end, Panthers show why they are a playoff team and we are not winning 31-28.

Final note: Deuce will not be resigned, but will have a huge day in the dome for another team next season.

by Ditka'sGhost on Dec 27, 2008 2:17 PM CST reply actions

So...

1- Payton will call for over 140 yds on the ground proving that a meaningless record will come second to a Saints’ win.
2- Brees will disregard that way of thinking and go apeshit on the side line with the coach in the 3rd quarter.
3-So Panthers win it 28-20 helped by 3 int.

by FrenchFreak on Dec 27, 2008 9:19 PM CST reply actions

I can't lose - predictions of a season ticket holder not making the 300-mile Dome commute

1. I will not be paying $7 for a warm Blue Moon
2. No Saint will be injured so as to be placed on IR after the game
3. I am in front of a TV for the 3:15 kicks of Dallas-Philly and Miami-Jets

real predictions
1. Deuce gets less carries than Bell
2. No 100 yard rusher for Panthers
3. Touchdown Buck Ortega

Oh, and Brees throws for 250 at most. Depleted backfield takes its toll.

Thanks to CSC for the season. Coming next week, my 2009 mock draft

by MobileSaint on Dec 27, 2008 9:25 PM CST reply actions

Saints 17, Carolina 33

1. Payton has no class and doesn’t play Deuce unless he has to. A hurt PT > Deuce in Payton’s mistake-filled book. But Bell gets a lot of touches.
2. Brees does not get the record.
3. Lance Moore has a good game with 7 catches for 100 yards and a TD.

by xen-cuts on Dec 27, 2008 9:57 PM CST reply actions

Saints 36, Panthers 19

1) Deuce, Mike Bell and the practice squad guy combine for for 210+ yards rush/rec.
2) Panthers’ backfield is held to less than 135 yards rushing.
3) Jason David has ANOTHER pick. What’s the guy have to do for you people??

Jake D’s performance makes no one ponder what his career as a Saint could have been. Payton gives another unconvincing PDA to Deuce. Drew comes up short on the Marino record and doesn’t care because they won.

by stujo4 on Dec 27, 2008 10:48 PM CST reply actions

home field prediction

1 – brees does it
2 – meach 2 tds
3 – #26 makes me proud w/ a TD

by NYSaint on Dec 28, 2008 1:56 AM CST reply actions

Final predictions

1. Drew and co. will get shut down, less than 250 yds passing.
2. Sean Payton will use all his challenges in the first half.
3. Pierre carries the Saints, but we come up short to lose by less than 7.

Next years opponents look pretty tough, D overhual in the making…again.

by Nez on Dec 28, 2008 4:06 AM CST reply actions

PT isn't playin?

If not, insert Duece and Bell combo.

by Nez on Dec 28, 2008 4:08 AM CST up reply actions

My first predictions

1. Deuce for 70 yards and a touchdown
2. Billy Miller with a huge game and catches a touchdown pass
3. Roman Harper makes his first interception of the season

by frenchsaint on Dec 28, 2008 8:05 AM CST reply actions

Saints 24, Panthers 21

1. Brees comes no where close to the record: under 300 w/ 2 TDs
2. Defense actually looks decent this game and holds Carolina under 400 total yds
3. Hartley kicks game winner w/ under 2:00 left

Bonus: After game I go out to the garage and have a “moment” grieving the 2007-2008 season and what could have been.

It’s been fun guys, can’t wait till next year (yet again)!

Roll TIde!!!!

Most powerful is the one who controlls his power.

by dicecar18 on Dec 28, 2008 10:27 AM CST reply actions

9-7

1. Drew falls short of Marino’s passing record by less than 120 yards.
2. Deuce rushes for 50+ yards and scores at least 1 TD in what will probably be his last game as a Saint. :-(
3. Big Sed (Ellis) will get a sack and then do his PeeWee Herman dance.

I see everyone in the Main Stream Sports Media is picking the Saints to win this one. When that happens, the Saints usually lose. However, I’m feeling a Saints win today to end this disappointing season on a high note and carry over momentum into next season when the Saints will dominate the NFC.

Go Saints!!!!
