Kevin Kaesviharn on injured reserve
Add yet another player to the injured reserve:
The Saints placed starting safety Kevin Kaesviharn on the injured reserve list Thursday, ending his season after he suffered his second stinger in four weeks.
With defensive end Charles Grant's move this week from the injured reserve to the suspended reserve list, there are now 14 players on the Saints' injured reserve list.
The Saint signed defensive end Tearrius George from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad to take Kaesviharn's active roster spot.

Yeah good job BR
Here’s some video of #77 Kansas State’s Tearrius George playing in Canada. Thinks quite a lot of himself. No shots of The Man With The Yellow Hat.

Jeez
I wonder what the record is. We’re averaging better than one lost per game.
0-17

Guess what?
I just followed the link to Curious George’s info in the “read related” section, and there’s nothing but a big blank – he hasn’t been mentioned anywhere. He is what we call a SUPER SLEEPER. I wonder where KIPER JR had him on his big board in the year he would have been drafted…
Saints officials have cited Grant's and Smith's number of quarterback hurries as evidence of their quietly productive play...Technically, Smith "hurried" Jeff Garcia on his 39-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Bryant on Sunday.

Thanks stujo
I’m already looking forward to the open thread we’ll fire up on draft day in April. It should be fun! Am I right that the CSC treats it like a national holiday?

is this because we aren't physical enough??
seems strange- we lose all these players to injury- you would think like we are a really physical team – not…… maybe that’s the problem- we’re on the receiving end too much.

Have they all been on defense?
Seems like most of them have. I guess the job of human speed bump is dangerous

Maybe it's not our DBs as much as the pass rush
I have a tough time being so harsh on KK. I realize he is probably not one of the best safeties in the league, but our pass rush is non-existent. That makes it really hard to judge. And, we have had CB’s like Fred Thomas and Jason David (more last year) who get burned and that makes a safetie’s job much more difficult. Can you imagine trying to cover run defense and being concerned about that and knowing that Fred Thomas or JD is going man on the outside and you have responsibilities there too? Maybe Bullocks wasn’t as bad as we thought- Eric Allen, Fred Knight, etc. No DBs over the years have looked good when we have no rush. And you might be tempted to talk about McKenzie. Well he has played well, but he has had his moments too. But, I think the opponents DC says "Why bother going at McKenzie when you have Fred, or Jason or a rookie or an old aging veteran? I think our pass rush is so bad that Brian Dawkins or some other premier safety would look two notches worse than they are.
It just seem like we have such a tough time with our defensive backs being top notch and I think back when Swilling,Johnson, Jackson amd Mills, etc played, we led the league in sacks. No one was complaining about our DBs then and I don’t even remember their names ( except for maybe Atkins??)
