"Six-and-six wasn't our expectations, but it's what it is, " Loomis said about the Saints' record. "And so we've got four more games, including a game this weekend against Atlanta, and so that's what we need to approach it as, as an opportunity to finish 10-6. But we've got to get this one this weekend first, and then we'll address any longer-term issues after the end of the season."

“But every team has adversity, and we’ve got to be capable, and we’ve got to do a better job of handling that at times. So I don’t know how else to answer that.”
When asked who specifically has to do a better job, Loomis said: “I think from top to bottom we need to do a better job, starting with me. That make sense?”
No, Mr. Loomis. It does not. I hate this MBO management by objective MBWA management by wandering around The Office Michael Scott School of Management crap. All the players, all the coaches, all the office staff, all need to do a better job? No one is performing adequately, everyone is performing inadequately? The entire organization is to blame? I don’t know why journalists bother asking PayLoo questions, they don’t answer them. Either you don’t know how to identify the problem and solve it, or you’re protecting the guilty from the punishment they deserve.
What’s that?.. uh…PLAYoffs? Don’t talk about…Playoffs? You kiddin’ me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a GAME.

I'm glad I'm not Loomis
And I’m glad I’m not from Purdue. I’d hate to have you mad at me.

Pet Peaves
Two things I constantly read or hear from Pay-Loo that I find somewhat irritating:
1. “It is what it is.”
2. “…and that’s were we’re at.”
The first is an overused oversimplification of matters that usually warrant further explanation if only they had the mental energy to develop those explanations. The second is just annoying. Don’t they know it’s bad grammar to end a sentence with the word “at?” Maybe I’m just being overly grammatic (pun intended), but I usually cringe when I hear or read these things from them.

totally agree

Yeah. Reminds me of my favorite birthday card. 2 girls talking. Girl1: “So where’s your birthday party going to be at?” Girl 2: “Don’t end a sentence with a preposition.” Open card. Girl 1 “So where’s your birthday party going to be at, bitch?”
