Predicting the 2008 Stats: Defensive Line

Another participation post for you guys. This time I want you to guess which DE or DT will come through for us the most this season. Predict who will be the team leader and what his stats will be in the following categories:

Tackles
Sacks
Tackles for loss

This is a curious one, but I'll throw out my guess. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Bobby McCray, what the heck! 63 Tackles, 4 sacks, 5 Tackles for loss.

I think that condition of the line is going to better from left to right, and that’s gonna free up our best DE to be in more one on one situations, he’ll get 8 sacks, and lead the team. Vilma takes the tackling title, I mean really???? Who’s gonna beat him. I think teams are going to try to stretch us out more than normal in order to beat up on our secondary, (and stay away from the front and middle of our D) wether they are throwing the ball or running wide. Either way speed is going to play a huge part in it, and he’ll have a much easier time now getting to where he’s supposed to be, on assignment, all the time.

tackles,i think marvin mitchel will start at weakside and have a great season.any way i’ll be happy if its not a safety. sacks ,thats tuff but i think will smith has the best shot ,he should be on the field the most .and he’s gona face more one on one’s.tackles for loss ,my vote goes to ellis,he’s tuff but teams are gona try him. teams are going to come out throwing on us ,till we prove we can stop it.i see lots of 3 and 4 reciver formations on first down coming.if the safeties are leading in tackles it means our pass rush isn’t up to it.
