Parcells quit coaching because of Romo? (minimal Saints content)
In an interview scheduled to air on Tuesday night, Bill Parcells says that Tony Romo's fumbled snap that cost the Cowboys the wild card victory two seasons ago is the reason he stopped coaching.
One fumbled snap against the Seahawks did it? That's all it took to make him decide his coaching career at Dallas was over? That he had lost confidence in his players and staff, and didn't want to try again next year?
OK. But are you SURE, Coach, that the spankin the Saints put on you and your boys IN DALLAS a few weeks before when you were riding your hot streak didn't have ANYTHING to do with your decision making process? Are you SURE? Because we all saw your face on TV a lot during that game, and you looked like you were done then. Done.
I'm just sayin'.

there was a bit more
I saw the Real Sports w/ Bryant Gumbel on HBO w/ Bill Parcels
He kinda talked about it there too. It was more in the context of what his new role is, and he was explaining that he doesn’t want to feel like he has anything to do with Romo dropping the snap, but he sure mentioned that particular instance.
