David Patten
I just want to comment about David Patten. Late last season he began producing for us on the field and that was great. However, he has really grown on me throughout the training camp. I really like that he is taking so many of our young receivers under his wing (especially Meachem). I think that this kind of trait is something that is nessecary on a successful team, especially with how young our receivers are and how long it typically takes a receiver to develop. Watching Patten on the Redskins for a couple of years I was admittedly not excited about his arrival. He did nothing on the field and was constantly injured, but I have done a pretty severe 180 on the man. Happy to have Patten on our team and getting amped for the season. Any thoughts or additional insight on Patten are welcome. (I would put up a pic but I don't really have the time to figure out how to do that right now, so when I have more time I'll try to add one.)

Patten is a keeper (if....)
When they first signed Patten, I thought “Oh brother, what do we need HIM for?” but he has turned out to be a real find. Veteran presence, comes through in the clinch, it’s all good. If he is healthy, in shape and hasn’t lost a step (he turns 34 soon) he should be on the roster. I always think of him as a Patriot, those Washington years don’t count for me.
