Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Carl Nicks

While I am a diehard Saints fan, I can't say that I'm a fanatic when it comes to the draft.  This for me, right now is the most exciting time of the year.  Hope springs eternal and all that crap!  But it's for real.  Everyone can see their team making the superbowl at this time of year.  There's even a Falcons fan out there that is delusional enough to think it!

One of the things that is exciting is trying to get a feel for the players that will impact the team this season.  Which will stay, which will go.  Even though it all starts up front, you don't hear as much about the offensive lineman.  I continue to hear about Carl Nicks this preseason.  For an offensive line that seems to be set in stone, it seems this rookie is getting his fair share of press.  I searched online to see if I could find anything else about him and I came up with a combine workout video.  I was amazed at the athleticism of such a big man.  And he looks powerful as well.  I didn't get a chance to see him in the Cardinals game, but I am truly excited about the possibility of him unseating a veteran this year and using his skills to open up some holes for our running backs to run through.

Nice post, Kman. Good video too.

Nicks weighs 343? That’s a load. He does carry it well, though. Anyone know much about our offensive line? The line is crucial to the success of the offense, but it’s hard to measure them, statistically. I think it’s Jahri Evans and Jamar Nesbit at guard, Jammal Brown and Stinchcomb at tackle with Goodwin as center. (Did Matt Lehr even play Thursday??) Isn’t Nicks playing at tackle in practice? Is he playing well enough to edge out a starter? Someone who is informed needs to comment on this. With more detail.

Nicks tattoo says it all pancking at will! Give nicks the job.He will not let us Saints fans down!He is versatile and can both play guard and tackle.Nicks only gave up one sack and one pressure in two years at Nebraska.Keep putting it down for Salinas Carl!!!!!!!!!!!!
