Reggie Bush and Mario Williams
Well we all knew this was coming. The great Reggie Bush/Mario Williams debate has reared it's ugly head yet again. I figured this warranted a Fan Post and would make it easy to contain all of the talk to one place.
Here are three separate links to articles about this overly discussed topic.

Bush, Williams meet up again in joint practice
I'm sure you all remember what happened and what you were doing when you first found out the Saints were going to get Reggie Bush. Feel free to share your stories and your opinions now that the players are going into their third seasons.

Oh yeah, I'm sitting on my couch at home watching the draft
I yell at my wife that the Texans took Mario Williams instead, and I didn’t know what the Saints would do. Sat on the edge of the couch, waiting… REGGIE!!!!!!! Jumped around, yelling and then thought “What about Deuce? God, can they keep them BOTH? Can that WORK?” That was a happy day and always will be, no matter what happens. Poor Mario had a crappy rookie year but has really come around. I don’t see any sense in making too big a deal out of it. They both want to do really well in this game regardless.

let me add this part about my db boss
At work on Monday, I was getting congratulations from all the guys because they know I’m a Saints fan (the only one they know, I’m in Kansas) and my dumb ass boss says “Bush is way overrated, he’ll flop in the NFL.” Which really annoyed me for 2 reasons: 1) He hasn’t even played a down yet and you’re writing him off? Are you so risk-averse and chickensh*t that you can’t get behind anything that’s not a sure thing? (oh yeah, you are, I forgot) 2) Don’t be talking down my Saints, punk. That really pissed me off and accounts for my defensiveness about Reggie’s performances. He needs to do well or my boss is right. And he can’t be right. Can’t be. I quit that job a year ago this month after an ugly confrontation with that boss (to the delight of my work buddies) and I feel a lot better today. Apparently I’m not going to forget that Monday anytime soon either. GO REGGIE!!!

He's not playing anyway
Times-Pic via rotoword.com:
Reggie Bush is expected to miss the Saints’ second preseason game due to swelling in his left knee.
The team isn’t making a big deal of this after an MRI revealed no structural damage, but knee swelling can be unpredictable. The injury is to the same knee in which Bush tore his PCL at the end of 2007. Keep an eye on it.

Reggie has impressed me so far this preseason. The stats are not there, but he had some quality downfield runs in the opener vs. the Cardinals, and last night he showed off his athleticism again with the TD reception. He’ll never be the featured back, but he certainly is not a bust IMHO
