Not good. Fortunately, the Saints are fairly deep at the DT position so this shouldn't be too damaging. Anyone else get the feeling like injuries are going to ruin what could be a great season?

"Saints defensive tackle Hollis Thomas will miss a minimum of two months with a torn right triceps, according to Coach Sean Payton. Thomas suffered the injury during 1-on-1 pass-rushing drills Wednesday, and he had surgery Thursday morning.

There is a strong possibility that Thomas could be placed on injured reserve at some point, ending his 2008 season, which also means this could be a career-threatening injury for the 13th-year veteran."

Damn

Not good is right. Ellis just got bumped up to 1 team for sure.
Injury’s will definitely dictate how much success this team will have.

I'm stunned

I was looking forward to a full season of Hollis Thomas jokes. How the hell do you tear a tricep??? I can barely feel mine move. Really bad news, he’s one of my favorites.

Me too

Mr Thomas is my favorite D player on the team

Im not too worried...

As Saintsational said, we are fairly deep in the DT area, plus I really like the idea of McCray and Ellis in the Middle with Smith and Grant at DE

Bad News!

This blows. I was glad to get Ellis, but he can’t play every down and Hollis was a good run stopper. Oh well, all the other 31 teams have to deal with injuries like this too. We aren’t doomed yet. I’m still optimistic.

Go Saints!!!!

Sad but not scared... yet

I think we will see Grant sliding to the inside and McCray taking his spot on the outside.
