At this point...
...football comes second.
To all you people living in Nollins, my prayers will go out to you so that Gustav doen't hit Louisiana.
Katrina caused enough pain, reconstructing and losses for one century, no? And to have been kicked out of New Orleans when Andrew struck in '92 and seeing so much sadness in the school me and my buddy found shelter in Natchez, Miss., I can't believe this could happen a 3rd time in 15 years!
Thinking of people I met back then and all the everybody at CSC....

Best of luck to you all…i hope everything turns out all right for you down there…i experienced them first hand when i was living in the Caribbean and wouldn’t wish them on anyone…we don’t get hurricanes up here…but we do get severe floods…
I hope everyone is safe and sound…

Thanks!
Not in N’Awlins, actually closer to Houma in Lafourche so we a lil closer to the predicted ground zero. Probably not going into panic mode until late tomorrow or Sunday. Still hoping it shifts farther west.

It's starting to look...
…like Gustav is going to Lake Charles.
BayouRebel, my father-in-law, who lives in Gray, told us Lafourche has a mandatory evacuation order now. They’re staying, though.

all right
I didn’t want to post anything about the storm because I didn’t want to think it might happen, that it might turn west (it has been taking a crazy path). But it’s getting late, and all you guys in the path need to do what you need to do. Everybody is goosey because of Katrina, but it’s cat 3 at most, just some wind and rain. If it keeps moving, the water won’t rise too much and it’ll just be a big storm. Just the same, you know what you need to do so get ready to do it. The rest of us will be watching and thinking good thoughts for you and everybody down there. Good luck and vaya con Dios.

obviously I don't know what I'm talking about
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080830/ts_afp/caribbeanweatherstorm
Katrina, also a Category Three when it struck the Gulf Coast, killed some 1,800 people, most of them in New Orleans.
Sorry. I confused hurricane categories with tornado classes. Get the hell out of there.
