Always welcome in Indy

Hey Saints fans I heard the news about Hurricane Gustav potentially striking New Orleans and forcing the Saints to practice in Indianapolis. The Saints, and there fans, are always welcome here. While it is almost certain that Gustav wil strike the United States I truly wish that it does not strike New Orleans. A new storm there could cause severe damage to a levee system that has been neglected and it not fully repaired.

I hope a tragedy is avoided for both the Saints the city of New Orleans.

Um... Will you take Jason David back too?

Just kidding. I’m sure all the Gulf Coast residents appreciate your good wishes. Thanks!

Jason David

Yeah sure we will take him back! He played very well for us, but honestly we have four really good CB’s so I am not sure he would even see the field that much.

Although the Colts D is hurt it has mostly been hurt at D-line and LB. Very few injuries in the secondary.

one more time

MRW, I saw a bit of the Bengals/Colts game this morning, and although the score didn’t reflect it, I really admired the way the Colts D swarms to the ball and hits HARD. They’re not big but they seem very fast and aggressive. I’m an offensive minded guy, but I do enjoy watching the Colts D play. Good luck this year!

Yeah

Its kind of a “weird” defense to watch because not very many people run it in the NFL. It runs contrary to a lot of long held defensive beliefs.

Also, that Cincy game was very different for us. We blitzed A LOT in that game and the Colts almost never blitz. We seem to be playing our standard coverage defense this year, but then we will mix in a 7 man blitz package to throw the other team off. Its one of the reasons why we drafted Phillip Wheeler who is 6’2 255 lbs. The guy is a monster compared to our other LB’s.
