It Is On
Robert Meachem did his job last night. He was brought in to catch the ball. It now appears that the receiver battle is on.
Meachem had some impresive catches in last nights game and I was happy to see it happen. There are people in my area that say that he was a wasted draft pick. That performance may be a firs step in him changing minds.
I agree that he has to continue to build on this success. I think that as long as Devery Hederson remains in the tub that Meachem will get that shot.

He looked good
My biggest problem with drafting him last year was that I was hoping we would think defense in the first round like we did this year. As long as he’s here and playing like he did last night, more power to him. We’re deep at receiver, and someone good will not make the team because of the numbers.

good point, but there is a reason
Payton was a QB, a QB coach, and I think an O Coordinator. He’s all about the offense. He couldn’t pass up what he saw in Meachem. Here we go with that trust in their judgment again. I agree with you Buddy, but we aren’t the head coach yet.
