Hollis Thomas Cut

A day after the team placed him on injured reserve the Saints cut defensive tackle Hollis Thomas. Thomas has been recovering from a torn triceps injury he suffered in the team scrimmage with the Texans prior to the second preseason game.

Earlier in the week during locker room interviews Thomas told the media his recovery was going well and he anticipated playing again this season.

The 13 year veteran was in his third season with the Saints. During his time with the Black & Gold, Thomas played in 18 regular season games, 93 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
