Saints defense is now paper-thin
AP is reporting that three starters from last week--Randall Gay, Scott Fujita, and Roman Harper--are all out this week. In addition, Mark Simoneau is gone for the year. This leaves the Saints thin at linebacker, at safety, and at corner.
The good news is they're facing a team with an iffy quarterback, one who might not be able to take advantage of problems beyond the defensive line. The bad news is...well, the injuries are piling up. At the beginning of the year it was looking like only attrition could stop the Saints. So far, attrition is playing a good game.

I pushed injuries out of my mind when I predicted 12-4 for 2008: wishful thinking

Saints LB Scott Fujita is out for Week 2 with a knee injury.
The Saints are down five key defenders, including three starters. Troy Evans, usually a special teamer, will take Fujita’s space.

Who’s the 5th? Antwan Lake or Hollis Thomas? Who the hell is Troy Evans?

Hopefully The Saints are healthy for the Broncos!
We dont want any excuses when Cutler picks apart your secondary. The only time I root against the Saints is when my Broncos are playing them. Cheers to a healthier season ahead.
