3rd and 1
I'm sorry fellows, but I feel so bad for Gramatica because I REALLY don't think this is his fault. Yea coulda made that kick with his eyes closed. Yea he was suppose to make it but if we coulda converted on 3rd and 1 his shot would have been closer....
For the second week in a row 3rd and 1 P. Thomas didn't convert. Lets go back earlier in the game. Bush 3rd and 1, he fumbles, Denver scoops it up, quick 6. S. Payton is gonna give us that bullshit about the line didn't block worth a crap (which they coulda did better) - bla bla bla. This game hurt sooooooo bad I can't even get my thoughts together. WHEN HIS HE GONNA PLAY DEUCE??? What’s going on with him?? Is Payton gonna give us some REAL and TRUEFUL answers this week?? I watch the Miami game over, even a few game from the '06 season and it seems like the line knows that Deuce is going to give them everything he has EVERY play so they block a little harder for him. (Maybe me, but it does seem like it) One day Karney said that he feels Deuces' frustration, that he knows Deuce wants to be out there, plus he practices his ass off. Even Brees says he worked his ass off and is probably in the best shape since he's been in N.O. (Wish I could remember where I read that so I could show it to you all). Guys Gramatica missed a field goal earlier in the game (shoulda made) but that should have been mental note to Payton to get the ball closer so the kick would be shorter. When is Payton going to come off his high horse and play Deuce??? Guys we have got to run the football better, everyone here (CSC) knows it but when is Sean going to get the memo??
PS - Mad Props to MAD MAX!!!!! The boy is GOOD!!!

Is it his contract?
Some of the speculation over on NOLA.com has it that the Saints aren’t playing Deuce so that he’ll fail to meet the incentives built into his restructured contract. In other words, to save money.
Until there is very definite proof that this is the case, I prefer not to believe that the Saints management could be this despicable. On the other hand, if Deuce doesn’t play pretty soon, they’re going to have to come up with a convincing argument to stop the speculation, which will only grow as the season wears on.

Despicable?-Yes, Possible?-Also Yes
By not answering this simple question, Payton has left the door wide open for any conspiracy theorist to jump to the conclusion that this is all about ensuring they save $ with Deuce. He refuses to clear this up and it seems that no sports reporter has the guts to challenge him on it. I can’t believe no one yesterday asked him about Deuce. This is really challenging my faith in Payton and the Saints. If he has a good, legitimate reason for dressing Deuce but not playing him, we deserve to hear it. I’m sick of hearing, “He’s real close.” Maybe Deuce isn’t as ready as he thinks he is. We must demand an answer. If this continues like this, I don’t see how I can stick with this team.

Cant see it
After all the work and money the spend on the off season …to shaft Duece a few bucks by hurting the team?
I just cant see it.
We are supposed to challange this year.. we are supposed to have the pieces… Duece needs to be let on the field so he can prove himself. Unless there is something we dont hear or see about his knees? They did a close up on him during the game and he looked mad. Mad at not being able to play. He is a shining example of not bitching about it to the press when things are not right tho. You dont hear him making a scene like a Shockey would. He is dressed. He says he is ready. He has run it twice …..
Coach.. I thought you were the second coming that first year. I stood with you the second year but your glow was gone by the end. We gave you a extension so you could prove you were the MAN… why are you not playing Duece? Tell us. If you give us a reason we will stand behind you. We love our Saints. Talk to us.

Agree Wholeheartedly
I just want a brief explanation. That’s all. It’s not so much that I’m foolish enough to believe that Deuce is the one and only answer to the Saints running woes. Maybe he can still play at a high level or maybe he can’t. We’ll never know until he’s put on the field or Payton tells us one way of the other. I just see one of the Saints all-time greatest players apparently being disrespected by the organization. He wants to play and he believes he can play. What pisses me off is that Payton won’t address it, which seems to disrespect the fans. I just want Payton to let us know what is going on here.
Go Saints!!!!
