Saints @ Broncos: Prediction Results

You've been baaaaaaaad.

Obviously you've noticed that I had to go old school on you guys and bring out Mrs. Frumplesworth after a long sabbatical. You know what that means: you've been naughty. Some of you, and you know who you are, did not follow the rules and made more than 3 predictions. In those special cases, I will only be counting your first three guesses. The rest are just for show. From now on let us please adhere to all CSC guidelines and policies.

Now that were done with all that, let's take a look at how silly everyone was with all of their wildly optimistic predictions made a few days ago before that 3rd and 1 play.

MtnExile

1. Satchmo26 wins the prediction contest.
2. The defense suddenly shows up and plays a ferocious game, sacking Cutler three times and intercepting twice.
3. Nevertheless, the game is close—Saints 27, Broncos 26.

Nope.

pukenbowl

#23fan

 - Brees throws for over 350

- The #23fan actually makes it here for the game, and not the day after
- Deuce will have a big game, average 6ypc
- Meachem will show up more making some awesome catches
- Carve this one in stone……… Brees to Patten for 6

*Funny note: I actually would give you a Yes for your fourth prediction AND Patten caught two passes for 12 yards. An average of...6 yards. Not exactly but pretty darn interesting.

Satchmo26
1. Lance Moore will have his NFL “who the hell is this guy” breakout game with 80+ yards and a TD (Brees has to throw it to somebody and I don’t think it will be Henderson). Patten, Moore, and Shockey will get the bulk of the receptions with Meachem getting some too.
2. Brees has a good day: 350+ yards and 3 TD’s.
3. Both McKenzie and Deuce will play. M & M will get a pick and Deuce/Pierre will combine for 100+ yards on the ground and 1 TD

Very close. Moore had 78 yards.

Close

Sort of.

TAYDIGGA

1. Brees throws for 320 or less
2. Running backs total 145 yards rushing (Bush finally gets a rushing td)
3. Shockey gets the most yards and receptions yet

No

Close

Yes

Stevethefan

1. Shockey has 6 catches, 2 TDs.
2. Defense has 2 INTs.
3. Special teams TD on a blocked punt.

1- Shockey as a TD but drops 2 crucial passes.
2- Last drive wins the game 34-31 for Denver.
3- Our running game is so bad even Oregon is giving it to the O-Line!

*I am assuming you meant defensive line coach Ed Orgeron and not the state of Oregon or any of its members, either individually or on the whole.

dell00

1-Vilma get’s a fumble recovery & 10 tackles
2-Brees has an excellent game, 280 yards in the air
3-running backs, duece see’s 12-16 carries, decent game not above 60 yards on the ground, bush a nice game, no rushing td’s but one in the air..

asaint

1) Mike McKenzie plays, and him and Tracy Porter both do well. We will need it because Tracy Porter will have his hands full with Eddie Royal. Our crappy safeties are the ones who get beat for the big one.
2) Duece plays, this goes well, at least 10 touches for at elast 60 yds
3) Sedrick Ellis has a DAY, and comes out with a sack

Not really

See how much cleaner, neater and reader friendly it is when we limit it to 3?

Just to clarify

“M & M” is my little nickname for Mike McKenzie, who did indeed get a pick. I wish I had predicted this well in my Fleaflicker FF match-up this week against our esteemed host Saintsational. He barely beat me by 2 fantasy points. DAMN IT ALL!!! Much like the Saints, I was oh so close, so now I sit at 1-2. Hear that Saintsational? You barely beat me this week and now your Fleaflicker record is 3-0 (Much like the Broncos). I sense a conspiracy here. :-)

Go Saints!!!!

In my defense

Cutler did have a let down compared to his previous 2 weeks with his lowest passer rating of 93.3
Reggie did have a score of ~40 yards but was called back.
