Why Does Gibbs Get a Pass

My fellow Saints fans,

We are truly focusing on the wrong side of the ball, the issue is not Payton's play calling, Deuce vs. PT, or pass vs. run on 3rd and 1.

The issue here has to do with the DEFENSE. Payton thought the defense played well, Is he crazy!! We have one of the most expensive defensive lines in football and we strike fear into no one. If we lost SF this week it will be due to the defense not the soldiers we are missing on Offense.

I guarantee you that we are going to see a large does of Gore this weekend and if we give up big plays and allow another for NO QB to carve us up I am going to be sick!!!

Actually...

Take away the Reggie Bush fumble—and assume that drive could have netted us 3 points instead of the Broncos 7—and the score becomes 35-27. Everyone would be talking about how the Saints defense came up big and stopped the top passing offense in the league.

That being said…yeah, Gibbs has got to go. I’m still hoping for Marvin Lewis. Just imagine what he could do with Vilma!

As weird...

…as it may sound, Vilma is our healthiest LB. Shanle and Fujita (Won’t even adress Simoneau) are far from even close to top shape. What’s more, Jason David is the freshest corner out there!

As much as I despite Gibbs, he just don’t have the tools right now. How could you otherwise explain that we didn’t see as much blitz as in earlier games? God, we’re so banged up already….

Must admit I’m pretty worried about our D-Line. Thought Grant would keep it up while Smith realize that we’re already in week 3!

Gibbs sucks!

That’s right I said it. In as much as we don’t have and LB’s or DB’s that are mean and nasty and know how to knock the shit out of somebody Bob Sanders style, Gibbs dosn’t play to their strengths with say a cover 2 or some sort of shifting switching D that teams have not seen. And MtnExile you are so on point it ain’t funny Marvin Lewis would be the man for our D, it’s obvious his time as a head coach is limited. But who are we fooling. Gibbs will probably get a damn extension.
