How about Nicks?

I made it a point to keep an eye on him. He was impressive. Also, the false starts were against Jari Evans. Carl seemed to be opening the holes and not to mention his pass blocking was solid . I think that if he keeps having solid performances he may upseat  Nesbit.  Do you guys think we could see SP keep him in even after the return of Nesbit and what did ya'll think of his play?

Nicks

Nicks was a huge pickup. 08 Draft looking to be as productive as 06 Draft, three starters playing extremely well. Ellis, Porter and Nicks will be huge contributors for many years.

If Nicks continues to play well...

Yes, he could replace Nesbit. A big test will come a week from tonight when they face a Vikings D-line that’s pretty good. If Nicks performs well against the Vikes and continues to do so for the next few weeks, I think Payton could keep him in the starting role.

Monday night will also be a big test for the Saints D to see if they can contain Adrian Peterson. His hammy should be a full go by next week. He’s quick AND powerful. It should be a good game, even though we’ll be forced to listen to Tony Kornheiser’s BS analysis and never ending negativity. I may be hitting the mute button a lot. I really envy you guys who’ll get to go the game.

Go Saints!!!!
