yelling and screaming

and i saw the kickoff on my big screen :)
JUST in time to see the foot hit the ball. Sometimes you get lucky and the service guy says “Football?” when you say " I need a channel turned on now". Jets fan but he had it up and running in under a minute and then we are not working out the rest of the details

Damn it feeld good to see him so hungry!

by FrenchFreak on Sep 7, 2008 12:32 PM CDT reply actions

WAY......

…..too much bad penalties!

Focus damned!

by FrenchFreak on Sep 7, 2008 12:36 PM CDT reply actions

Has anyone heard why Duece isn’t playing?

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 12:39 PM CDT reply actions

I got to say

I like what I’m seeing so far….minus the penalties. But 3rd down pressure and a sack…that’s something new.

Duece, I haven’t heard. I’m gonna go look

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 12:47 PM CDT reply actions

Duece

I went to the Times-Pic live chat and they told me they are “being cautious with him”

The times pic guy sounded like he wanted to vomit because Meachem was on the Inactive list

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 12:55 PM CDT reply actions

Really?

So, Devery “I drop passes” Henderson plays while Meacham is inactive? WTF?!?

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:05 PM CDT up reply actions

the run

doesnt seem like we are doing to well stopping the run

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 12:58 PM CDT reply actions

Drew

can’t throw to Reg and exposing him like that

by FrenchFreak on Sep 7, 2008 1:10 PM CDT reply actions

Playcalling

Call another type of play, dammit.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:12 PM CDT reply actions

Tampa 2

The middle underneath is open, go there with Shockey.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:12 PM CDT reply actions

Defense

Hate to say but the defense has outplayed the offense this first half.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:15 PM CDT reply actions

I hope we block this

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 1:26 PM CDT reply actions

Will Smith

Did ya’ll see the personal foul they called on 65 of Tampa while will smith and jeff faine were involved in some extracirricular activities?

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 1:27 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah

They should have called off-setting penalties.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:32 PM CDT up reply actions

agree

should have been on both teams.. but then maybe everyone thinks we had more then enough in the first half

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 1:38 PM CDT up reply actions

Randall Gay

he had a nice pass break up in there

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 1:28 PM CDT reply actions

Payton

I hope he was saving plays for the second half, because all of those screen type plays were getting both annoying and no yards per play.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:33 PM CDT reply actions

thoughts?

I think the D is doing well at the rush.
THe secondary is safe as long as we have that hungry 4, no time to setup a deep ball.
The middle… I am not sure. Are they doing the right thing? Or are they letting them nickel and dime us down the field.

Offense.
well the first drive was good….

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 1:34 PM CDT reply actions

Linebackers

It seems to me that they are backing up instead of attacking forward.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:40 PM CDT up reply actions

yup

but is that what we want… is it helping the secondary? 0r are we giving up what we dont need to.

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 1:41 PM CDT up reply actions

On running plays

where we are being gashed a little. I will take the underneath stuff over giving up the big plays like last year. It is much harder to nickel and dime down the field trying to sustain a drive than it is to throw it deep to the guy TMG 42 is guarding.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:43 PM CDT up reply actions

Oregon and Ellis

are making a huge difference on the D-Line. Seems Grant is pretty happy too playing for Ed. But I still think Gay and KK are overrated.

by FrenchFreak on Sep 7, 2008 1:42 PM CDT reply actions

0-6 3rd down conversions

thats a VERY nice stat to see .. for the other team :)

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 1:46 PM CDT reply actions

Reggie

Can someone tell him that he can’t take it to the house every time he touches the ball.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 1:59 PM CDT reply actions

shockey

I am SOOO happy we got him :)

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 2:02 PM CDT reply actions

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 2:06 PM CDT reply actions

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 2:08 PM CDT reply actions

Run the Ball

Up the middle. But they didn’t and now they have to settle for the FG.

by Steve the fan on Sep 7, 2008 2:10 PM CDT reply actions

tech question

isnt this supposed to auto update? Do i have to have something set to do that?

MT

by MT_always on Sep 7, 2008 2:12 PM CDT reply actions

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 2:13 PM CDT reply actions

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 2:18 PM CDT reply actions

Still

would like Lito in the backfield…

by FrenchFreak on Sep 7, 2008 2:19 PM CDT reply actions

well……meachem is inactive

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 2:21 PM CDT reply actions

Don't know...

…what Payton saw starting Devery instead of Meachem but his trade value just went up

by FrenchFreak on Sep 7, 2008 2:22 PM CDT reply actions

well I guess they decided to doubleteam smith and ellis

by asaint on Sep 7, 2008 2:24 PM CDT reply actions

Gay is ok

nice job there.
I am impressed… 2 big breakups by the CB that if there were JD were 14 points

Watched the game at boss's house on his big screen-Sunday Ticket

Back home now, here’s a few quick hits:

-Disappointed in the play calling, especially that 3rd down when they sent Reggie up the middle, for a 4th down. Might as well punt on 3rd down.

-Gramatica kicked really well, including kickoffs. I’m impressed.

-Poor tackling everywhere. Wrap them up, guys.

-I’m liking Vilma and Porter a lot.

Did I not predict 23-20? And Devery would catch a TD pass? Suck it, Bucs!
