Check out the Saints new Sir Saint mascot. That's a huge chin. Must be compensating!

Not positive, but I am assuming this is in reference to Reggie's flip against Pittsburgh when he was upside down.

Sir Saint

Sir Saint has been around since the beginning, 1967.

When I saw him on TV, I was glad to see him back!

Visit the Saints Hall of Fame in the Superdome

I assume it is still there. They emptied some offices and put all the memorabilia in there, with some track lighting and display cases. I remember seeing the Sir Saint cartoon there, on a poster of something. 1967 desperation, trying to establish some kind of identity for the young franchise. The NFL was a pretty crappy organization back then, compared to now. Meaning, no money available for marketing. That donated Saintsation cheerleader outfit on display sort of makes my point. Unless you’re a strictly a leg man, it’s not too attractive.

Nice pics

Thanks, Dave! I want to BE there!! Airfare is $387 for me and I’m still having flashbacks of that hellish drive through Oklahoma, so I don’t know how I’m going to get there.

Look at the Devery photo: #59 Cato June in the background. That was 6, podnuh! Head on back to the sideline, there ain’t no flags down!! LOL!!!

Sir Saint??

Never heard of him. Oh well, he seems better to me than the dog mascot. I was wandering what those crazy looking giant heads with the huge chins were behind the Dome goal posts. Now I know. Maybe he’ll bring us luck this year. We certainly couldn’t have asked for a better start. Well…..yes we could have, but, after last season’s start, I’ll take a win any way they can produce it.

Go Saints!!!!

HA HA, check this out

Check out what I found posted concerning Sir Saint at the LSU blog. Some of these are hilarious. Especially, “looks like Quagmire Saint.” I’m sure that, given time, Sir Saint will win them over.
