Jammal Brown Headed to Pro Bowl
New Orleans Saints starting left tackle Jammal Brown has been named to the 2009 NFC Pro Bowl squad. Brown, who was an alternate selection in the Pro Bowl balloting, is slated to replace Washington Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels, who will miss the game due to an injury.

WTF?
I didn’t even realize he was an alternate. Well, at least we’ll have two there now. Jammal received a lot of criticism from Saints fans this year for the holding penalties, but I still think he’s a pretty good LT. He generally goes against the opposing team’s best DE and is gonna get beat from time to time. When he does get beat, I’d much rather he tackle the guy if he can as opposed to letting him slam Drew into the turf from his blind side. Congratulations Mr. Brown!
Go Saints!!!!

That's all this lardbutt needs
Positive reinforcement for his terrible play. The guy was average this season at best. Do other teams have worse players? That’s terrible.

get a clue
He is one of the best. How often does Brees get hit from his blindside?
The ONLY time Drew hears footsteps and played bad from fear of his blindside.. Jammal was not playing.
Can i do an anti rec on your post?

I totally disagree
Brown doesn’t suck, but he’s nowhere near one of the best. Remember the falcons game when Brown was completely owned by Abraham, then Strief came in and handled Abraham?
Probowl voting is based in large part on reputation, and Brown is living off the 2006 season. I still think he should shift to RT (I’m just going to keep saying it until it comes true).

You can "Flag" it
But Saintsational is kind of a laissez faire sort of guy. You know, let ’em play.
There’s a bailout coming, but it’s not for you.

Statistically, Brown is actually pretty good
Revisit this post. Brown is tied with Pro Bowler Jordan Gross and Marcus McNeill of San Diego, among others. (The site I got this from lists him as tied for 8th, but they miscounted—actually, he’s tied for 7th. That means Jammal Brown may be the 7th best left tackle in the entire NFL. That’s not too bad.)
