Looks like i´m not the only one with the idea about LT

Decided to post this from the TP.....or was this one of you folks?

LT A SAINT?

Posted by 504ever, January 16, 2009 5:20PM

I must be having a month long dream.A dream that for one reason or another seems to keeps re-occurring.The dream starts after a playoff game between the Chargers and Steelers, where the Chargers are eliminated and afterwards this four letter sports station starts to announce that the San Diego Chargers are considering a release of star running back LaDainian Tomlinson. At thirty years old and finishing the last two seasons watching the games instead of playing them,it could be time for both LT and the Chargers to part ways. However,if the LT release were to take place, the biggest question in the NFL would be where will he land? A player of his stature,at this point in his career,is not going to be chasing the money, yes he'll paid by someone but it won't be for the player he used to be but the player he is now. That revelation could be just what a team looking for a veteran back needed and that team could and should be the New Orleans Saints. It would be a win for both sides, the Saints get a motivated LT with something to prove not only to his former employer, but to everyone in the entire league, including himself. For the Saints, it would the addition of a Hall of Fame back to a team desparate for a veteran back, one that can gain the short yardage as well as provide the leadership needed to improve a set of talented young running backs, who could learn from one of the very best to lace em' up.LT would come to a team that has everything in place to make a Superbowl run on offense, and with the hiring of a new DC,the potential to have a much improved defensive unit as well.I'm not saying its going to happen, only that should LT be released it is a move the Saints should consider. The pros far out weigh the cons, and there's nothing wrong with a dream every now and again.DREAM SAINTS FANS, DREAM!

no dreaming please

We don’t need LT.

We have a veteran back to help the young guys.. Who will restructure. Who is a fan icon.

We have a young back who can run…

We have a young power back who showed promise…

We are the #1 offense. We are not the worst but we are bottom feeders on defense. Stop looking at offense moves. FIX THE D!

We have a veteran back

Payton, to himself: “Boy do I hate it when they yell DOOCE. This is my team, I want my guys on it. He’s a Haslett guy for Christ’s sake. We’ve got to move on, man.”

but...

Payton, to himself. " Man I wish I could just cut him, but everyone knows Duece wants to stay and would restructure to help the team, if I cut him they may TP my house."

Right on!!!

This is one dilemma for Payton that I have no sympathy for. Even if Deuce agreed to play for the league minimum, I don’t think Payton wants him back because he is Haslett’s star and the fact that the fans love Deuce more than him irritates him to some degree. As a huge Deuce fan, it pains me to admit that #26 seems to be past his prime. The injuries have obviously taken their toll and, even though he still has the power, he just doesn’t have the speed anymore. I expect this was his last year as a Saint. I just hope he leaves the team with the dignity and accolades he deserves without being outright cut or pushed away by Payton’s ego.

Go Saints!!!!

No Thanx

even if some great deal comes into play and LT landed in N.O. he would have an above avg. yr. but be hurt for the play-offs—end of story. Pierre’s the ‘MAN’ and Deuce can still play…metryman….
