Saints - Jets game will be close.
The Saints can't overlook the year QB Mark Sanchez has been having. The potential for a big play is always there and our secondary has to be aware. I believe the secondary is better than last year but they have been hurt a couple of times this year. If this can happen I see the Saints ahead in every other catagory, going 4-0 at the bye week.
Here's hoping our running game comes through like last week and Drew Breese can save his arm for the long haul.

I don't see how Sanchez will be able to outplay drew Brees
especially in the Dome. I expect it to be close….for a while…

I don't see
how everyone is saying Sanchez is having this “amazing” year. Sure he is doing better than expected for a rookie but not great.
Completion%=23rd
Yards=20th
Yards per pass=14th
Only 4 TD’s to 2 INT’s
QB rating=15th.
the same way Ryan and Flacco got rave reviews for their not so awesome seasons
hype and team success, I guess
and relativity – “better than other rookie QBs”
whatever – the only rankings that matter are the Ws and Ls, and only then, do they ultimately matter at the end of the playoffs when someone’s left standing at 3-0 or 4-0 (playoff records).

he's good for a rookie and average for a regular QB
which makes alot of ppl feel like he could be great in the future. When I’ve watched him, he’s mostly looked impressive. I watched him on TV playing for USC and he was always good. A whole lot better than leinhart.
Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!

Yeah but
he played in the PAC-10, and lets be honest the PAC-10 really isn’t that great, and he only played like 13 games or something like that. I’m not saying he’s not good or he won’t be good or possibly great but I don’t think he can be put on Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan rookie year status just yet. He’s pretty careless while holding the ball but I do like how he moves in and out of the pocket though. Their defense hasn’t hurt him any either.
Flacco and Ryan
Here are some great moments from their rookie years:
Joe Flacco, 10/12 vs. Colts, 31-3 loss: 0 TDs, 3 Int’s, 4 sacks. 11/16 vs. Giants, 30-10 loss: 0 TDs, 2 Int’s, 2 sacks. 12/14 vs. Steelers, 13-9 loss: 0 TDs, 2 Int’s, 2 sacks.
Matt Ryan: 9/14 vs. Bucs, 24-9 loss: 0 TDs, 2 Int’s, 4 sacks. 10/26 vs. Eagles, 27-14 loss: 2 TDs, 2 Int’s, 2 sacks. 12/14 vs. Bucs, 13-10 win: 0 TDs, 2 Int’s, 1 sack.
Even amid the “great years” that these two rookies had, they had their share of rookie games…always against good defenses, and usually against pressure defenses. There’s no reason to believe that Sanchez won’t behave the same way.

That's kind of my point.
If you look at Flacco’s and Ryan’s good games they are better than Sanchez’s so far.
thanks for the stats
as usual, MT, you have a good argument and you back it up!!

Someone should have told Tennessee that the last two times they played UCLA.
"It feels like a tiny prick " -Reggie Bush
Tennessee has fallen off.
I’ll take LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, or even Ole Miss against UCLA any day. And I’ll take Florida or Alabama, maybe even LSU, against USC which is clearly the best team in the conference.
reverse the blitz pressure
I would like to see Nawlins put some blitz packages against Sanchez. I’m in So Cal and love my Saints and have seen Sanchez play at USC (So Calis love their USC); I don’t think Sanchez has seen real blitzes and felt real NFL hits yet. I think it’s time to show this rookie how to take a NFL hit.
Not close.
I think it may be close like Buffalo game, Saints pull away in the 4th.
