NY Giants 27 @ New Orleans Saints 48: Prediction Results
This weeks prediction results can be found after the break. We had three members get all of their prognostications correct. Check them all out, including a few silly predictions from Giants fans, then vote on who you think deserves this weeks title as most accurate.
Nobody had the score prediction correct, probably because most expected a closer game, but 10up and ArithMattic were closest with their guesses of Saints 42 - Giants 27.

1. Drew breaks his "streak" and passes for 200+ yards and 1+ TD. (Is that as weird for you to hear as me to type?) 2. Eli has a "decent" game or better (200+ yards and 1+ TD) but also commits 1+ turnovers (fumble or INT counts). 3. Shockey does one of two things, or perhaps both: A) catches 1+ TDs and delivers a hard hit to an attempted tackler at least once in the game, B) gets absolutely lit up by a G-Man defensive player that at least appears to be trying to knock him out of the game, drawing in the process a personal foul penalty or at least many/all of us screaming at the refs for not throwing the flag. |

| wsgiantsfan | Iguess when your football team has been so bad for so long, you would’nt know a good team if it bit you in the rearend………..GIANTS 28 SAINTS 10 | I wasn't even going to include this, but since it was so smug I figured why not rub his face in it a little. That's a big, fat NO. |
| RunGmenRun |
1) The Saints are a very good team, once of the best in the NFC, and they are capable of winning this game though I do not think that they will. 2) Many teams like the Saints or Vikings become the "flavor of the month" like the Panthers were in the last few weeks of last season – until the Giants beat them down. The Giants have the same core that beat the Pats and was last years #1 NFC Seed and have improved their personnel from that. 3) After this game, many will realize what I am seeing – that this Giants team continues to evolve and has the chance to be THE best I have seen in my lifetime of 40+ years. They are experienced, balanced and deep. Old Giants football was to squeak by teams like the Raiders and Bucs, but this team put their foot on their throat and crushed them. Thats what elite teams do. |

1. Since we goin off of the teams we played lets talk about the teams they played. dont need 2 say much about the lions or the bills. lets talk about a philly team who played with a back up QB and he put up nearly 400 yrds passing( he was only 9 away from 400) against ur defense. it was his 1st start ever. lets not get too happy off of those 3 picks ladies and gents. the Qbs they faced was Trent Edwards, Kevin Kolb, Matt Stafford And Mark "Franchise". Neither team has played any great Qbs but at least we played a Qb that was mention as one of the best n tha league at one point ( tony Homo). 2. The LIONS scored more points on ya defense then the Raiders, cheifs and bucs scored on us put 2gether (0,16, 7). And the only player in ya defensive back field that is really makin plays is sharper. 3. im done |
Feel free to include Eli Manning in your future assessments. We didn't even need our defense because the Giants was so bad. Thank God. |

You mean I don’t get “halfsies” on those other two predictions?

Touche, HB-NOLA
I should have made it something like a “bonus pick” or something. Not that it would have mattered anyway, everyone else got all three right, so I likely would’ve voted for one of them anyway…

at least you didn't ask for a "do-over"
Remember those middle school schoolyard football games you’d play at recess with a NERF ball in middle school? When a pass or kick hits a tree branch and whoever yells “interference!!!” or “no interference!!!!” first wins the ruling on that play as for a “do-over” or not.

Not trying to be a whiner here...but...
I believe I got 2.5, not just 1…
Brees wakes up, 250+ yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Shockey gets at least one of the TD passes
Saints win TO battle, score on D again
Brees did throw over 250 yards, with no INT’s, and hey, MORE than 2 is good, right?
They also won the TO battle (2 to 0), and Sharper was only denied scoring because of a terrible roughing the passer call.
Of course, I don’t have all three, but only on a TECHNICALITY!! HOCHULI ROBBED ME AGAIN!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!

Wait. wait. wait.
so by giant fans logic is Kevin Kolb now a better QB than Eli? Cause Kolb did put up 391 against our weak defense
I see what you got...Lets rock - Al Bundy
if you wanna get technical then Stafford is also better by 27 yards and Sanchise and Edwards are right on Eli’s tailgate

nfc east
i wish we could play the nfc east every week we could be the highest scoring offense of all time it’s amazing the afc east has played us harder then the nfc east
Redskins and Cowboys
are coming up later in the season. We have a chance this season to knock that whole division down a notch. Maybe our games against those two teams will be the games that finally get their coaches fired! Here’s hoping. Oh how I love to see a look of disgust on the faces Dan Snyder and Jerry Jones.

Isn’t awesome to think of the Saints as an unstoppable force like that of a freight train. God, the Saints are freakin’ awesome this year!!!!

yes, it is awesome
my only problem with it is I can’t bring myself to believe they’ll go 16-0, and I know the let down when they finally do lose a game is going to be crushing.
I say I got 2 right.
Technically, Eli did throw 2 INTs. One of them just doesn’t count towards game stats.
"That Brees is a good quarterback." - Giants Free Safety Michael Johnson after a 48-27 Saints victory.
I forgot Bell would be back healthy
I was assuming the bulk of the run would go to Pierre because I thought they would limit Bell’s carries coming off injury. If that would have happen, I’d have all three right. Dang but that’s alright I enjoyed seeing Bell and Thomas both pounding away.
What about benm316?
Box score says saints sacked giants twice
Before you pick your Super Bowl winner ask yourself this: Can you name an offense that can keep pace with the Saints?- Jerome Bettis
good question
benm316’s prediction was that “Archies Boy” (Eli Manning) would get sacked twice. The Saints did sack the Giants twice, but only one was on Eli. The other was on David Carr.

All three were good predictions hard to call one. Maybe we need a tie breaker question like what the avg. weight of a Saintsation :)
