The Incredibles

We were watching the replay of the Saints game on NFL.com tonight, and my wife made an interesting observation.

"It's like watching a game where one of the teams isn't human," she said.

"You mean New York is playing like a bunch of monkeys?"

"No, more like the Saints are superhuman, but they're trying to hold back just enough so that nobody catches on. It's like watching The Incredibles."

She's right. Watching some of the plays being made, you can easily imagine the conversations on the sideline. "Marques, don't go so high, man, someone's going to catch on."

"Well, you threw it there! What am I supposed to do?"

"Just let it go, dude! I'll get it back to you on the next play."

great

scrimmage we had their and i’m glad to be done with the ny fans i got really tired of reading all the crap they were writing maybe this will chill them out a little i fully expect the cardinals with their passing game to use what brees and co. exposed on the giants if anyone has kurt warner or larry fitzgerald on their fanatsy team this could be a good week for them

geaux saints

really

i think warner is going to wear out the middle of that defense like the saints did fitgerald has no problemgoing over the middle neither does boldin and they have a decent running game so we will see if the giants learned their lesson or if they continue to bite on play action

My 2 cents

The Giants were flat out embarrassed Sunday. They’ll be looking to take it out on the Cardinals. I think the Giants will work very hard this week to fix the gaping holes in their D that Brees and Payton exposed. Since they’re playing in NY, my money would be on the Giants.

"He has got a good ol' boy sense of humor, but he has also got a good ol' boy sense of kick you in the ass, too,"--Gregg Williams describing Bill Johnson. The D WILL ROCK THIS YEAR!

My money for the win is on the Giants. Especially with Q nursing an injury… minor one, perhaps, but still nursing.

But I also expect the Cards to make a game of it, and unless their D really shows up big time that’s going to have to be by trying to outscore the NYG, and that likely does mean big fantasy numbers for the likes of Fitz and Kurt and maybe even Q if he’s able to go.

I'm gonna go on a limb and say the Cards.

I think the quarterback is the most important part of a team bouncing back from a serious loss. Eli was really rattled late in the Saints game. You could argue that was one of his worst showing in awhile. I think if he comes out flat that first series, it’s going to get to him. This might sound crazy, but I wouldn’t blitz him initially. I’d drop back into coverage and make him prove he can make the right reads. He’s liable to second guess himself a lot after last week. If he shows he can make proper reads and complete some passes, then apply the pressure. Sometimes blitzing can increase a quarterbacks confidence because SOMEONE is going to be open. I don’t think he’s going to get it done.

The people who say, "Winning isn't everything," don't win very often.

I really like that movie.

“Go long!”

And the message perfectly fits the Saints philosophy: Everyone is special, which is another way of saying, no one is.

But as a team, they are the Incredibles!

If we could just sythesize life in a laboratory, we could prove that the creation of life requires no intelligence.
