Pro Bowl Voting Has Begun on NFL.com
What Up Saints Nation
When you get an opportunity, go to NFL.com and vote for your pro bowl selections. Being in the pro bowl offers the Saints players a number of opportunities: 1)showcase otherwise hidden talent 2)earn a lil extra cheese for their families and 3)improve their resume among other things. These guys have worked hard thus far, there is no better way that I can think of to reward them than to take a little time to get them into the pro bowl.
After voting, if you remove everything on the website address except www.nfl.com and hit your refresh button, you can give other members of your family an opportunity to vote. I'm just sayin!

Super Bowl participants
aren’t allowed to play in the Pro Bowl this season, so I don’t see the point of voting for any Saints players. How’s that for confidence?

yeah
The Pro Bowl now takes place on the weekend in between the conference championships and the Super Bowl in the same host city (Miami). Super Bowl participants will be too busy with their own slightly-more-important game preparations to participate. Besides, who in their right mind would want to risk an injury to a Pro Bowl caliber player in that situation?

You can still vote for anyone on the ballot, btw. The SB participants won’t be known until long after the Pro Bowl teams are announced. They’ll just have a few more last-minute alternates assigned to the squads than they normally do.

You should still vote for Saints. If, as we all hope, we end up in the Super Bowl they just have to withdraw to play in the far more important game.
But if they do, they still have already received (by that point) the recognition of having qualified, which is valuable in its own right. But even more importantly they almost always also end up qualifying for any contract bonuses involved with going to the Pro Bowl, even if they have to withdraw because of the SB.

Is it ok
to vote objectively for the players you feel are most deserving, regardless of what NFL team they play for? I mean, I wouldn’t want to do anything shady that might lead to George Bush getting re-elected to a third term in office.
