"The Saints are expected to wear black jerseys and black pants Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons for the first time at home this season."

Is this a cause for concern on Monday night?

We've been doing the whole "gold pants" thing for awhile now and it seems to be working.  I hope the black pants don't curse us.

With the SI cover, Reggie's comments, injuries and the black pants, Monday could be scary.

Ugh...

When you put it this way:

With the SI cover, Reggie’s comments, injuries and the black pants

Nah...

I may be in the minority here, but I kinda like the black pants. I think they look scarier/more intimidating, esp. at home. I’d hate to think that their game performance depends on their trouser color; besides, after last week’s game thread, we all know that the key to victory is all of us drinking heavily throughout the game! (and maybe calling in sick to work on Tuesday, but hey, sometimes you have to make sacrifices)

All Black Uniform

I love it !!!!! Black shows really well under the lights and provides Brees with identifiable receivers anywhere on the field. I can even see them better from the stands when I go. If I’m at home, they still look good in Hi Def. Very intimidating for opposing teams and I would not care if they wore pink as long as they BODY SLAM ATLANTA. All indications are leaning that way so…………….Saints 42…………Falcons 24 = 7-0 with 9 to go. Lovin it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish they would go to the BLACK Helment

with the GOLD Fleur-delis for this game. I only saw the black helmet one time in forty three years and thought it was totally awesome. Talk about an inspiration and something to discuss. I realize all you people that are superstitious will not agree with me but I think it would be a tremendous crowd pleaser.

A Super Bowl

would be a crowd pleaser. Don’t eff it up trying to make a fashion statement.

I want

The Saints to make all the statements this year. I’m not effin anything up cause it was not going to happen anyway. Just saying………………

I didn't mean you

…I meant Payton. Or Loomis. Or whoever decides these things. We can’t do anything about it, we’re just along for the ride. I’d hate for the wheels to come off because of black pants.

If anybody was worried about the SI cover...

I just got mine today and it had the Phillies on the cover. There was a little mention of the Saints across the top with the Agassi thing. Was it just a regional cover? and if so do regional covers hold the same jinx?

good question about the curse - maybe that's how we duck it

I live in Louisville, KY, and at our magazine racks, we also got the Phillies – d’oh!. My wife ordered me the Reggie SI from EBAY.

Regional covers – I thought they only did those for major sport preview issues (college/pro football, basketball, baseball), but I guess I was wrong.

Well it is Halloween Wkd.

Saints black top/pants aren’t nearly as bad a some other teams one color unis, have you notice the Texans’ “Battle Red”-bleeck. After watching a few mins. of that game my rods and cones were messed up, kinda like that Boise St. football field, unwatchable. I was hoping before this season we’d have all white for a home game (1975). Think nothing of it. As long as we’re Scary Good, Boo !

I think my favorite one-color uniform is Seattle’s. The fluorescent green highlights look sharp as such, just not as the primary jersey color.

do you mean sharp

like a sharp stick in your eye? That’s what they look like to me.
