What happened to Porter?

That will suck if he’s not able to start. I really don’t want to see Gay lined up as a starting CB again.

Yeah

I think Porter is one of the more underrated guys on the team. We haven’t really talked about him much. I think as a cornerback, that’s a good thing.

I was wondering the same thing.

He’s done a decent job. I hate to lose him.

Forget the nickel and dime, you'd better bring a half- dollar to deal with this team.--Tony Moss, NFL editor

I wonder

how our run defense will hold up without Ellis.

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
