WHATEVER Y'ALL DID, DO IT AGAIN!
Allow me to repeat myself - WHATEVER Y'ALL DID, DO IT AGAIN!
Ok, so it's Monday and the clock is ticking. Some of us have little superstitions (as silly as that may sound) that get us through a game and, believe me, there are some _doozies_ out there. Anyway, whatever you've been doing for the last six games, for the love of God do it again. I mean superstition is silly, dumb, unrealistic, etc. BUT, hey, who am I to say. I'm just a guy who used to make sure his feet were at least two inches off the floor before the ball was snapped and didn't put them down again until the play was over. Not superstition. Just practical. Just being safe. Just not tempting fate. Just a good ab workout! (Yea, that's the ticket!)
Being overseas, and since the game will be on at 10:30AM here, I have a chance to go someplace and see it on TV ~ LIVE. BUT, so far this season I've "watched" the games on Yahoo Sports Game Channel, which is like watching grass grow. Little colored bars stretching out to show lengh of the drive on a cartoon football field. Additional colored bars under that to show time of possession, total yards, turnovers, penalty yards, etc. all updated (often accurately) every 30 seconds. Well, I'm going to forgo the TV and DO WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING. That's right. Sitting in front of a computer for 3 1/2 hours with my eyes bleeding.
Tell your family. Tell your friends. Let it ring out from the church towers ~ WHATEVER Y'ALL DID, DO IT AGAIN!

You really should just go ahead and treat yourself
Go watch the game and enjoy it. But, if the Saints are down at half time, get the hell outta there and get back to that computer display!

Great Post!! But go ahead and watch it!!
I want them to win really badly. But, if they lose, it’s OK. I’m not sure I want them to have all that pressure being 12-0 and 13-0 etc and all the hype and that huge burden to go undefeated all through the playoffs after a 16-0 regular season. No, I think it might be better to lose one, but hopefully not this one. So, don’t worry about your routine. This is still a great team win or lose.
If you are overseas because of miliatary service, I thank you for your sacrifice.

Count on it...
…I’ve already made the arrangements to have someone watch my g/f’s daughter, so we can go out to our usual Saints watching location.
I will do EXACTLY as I have all season:
Wear NO Saints insignia or other team apparel.
Order an Abita Turbo Dog at kickoff.
Order my 2nd Turbo Dog and food (wings, Jamaican jerk stle) at the 2 minute warning.
Order a Diet Coke at the beginning of the 4th quarter.
Harass and ridicule any and all fans of the opponent’s team from start to finish (you should have seen the funny looks all the Phins fans were giving me in the 1st half last week! They weren’t quite looking at me the same in the 2nd though, for some reason! :-) )
GEAUX SAINTS!!!

Just doin' my part...
…gotta pull my weight like the rest of y’all!!
Can’t mess with the Saints gris gris!
;-)
(Plus, there won’t be any Foulclowns fans at my house to harass and ridicule if I don’t go! :-D )

Gris gris! I love it!
The Saints Fans have a vocabulary all their own. While New England fans are saying, “By golly!” and 49ers fans are saying, “Fer sure!” the Saints Fans are saying things like, “Gris gris, voodoo, geaux Saints, and Who ’Dat!” Makes you wonder on the value of location!
Geaux Saints. Put the voodoo gris gris on ’dem phalkons. WHO ’DAT!"
Makes Ebonics look like the Queen’s English!

warming up
my voodoo fingers to point at the falcon players(believe me sometimes it actually works). Have to run to get more Dr.Pepper so I wont’ have to leave the bed or the blog site(laptop is in bedroom), have the dvr already set to tape the game. Will make sure my pompoms are found and my Saint’s sweats are already on my body(its chilly today up north).

pompoms
were given out when I went to the Saints/Colts preseason game in Jackson. Have to hide them as my cat loves to chew on them. Now to find my towel that I got when i went to the Carolina game in 2007.

Do both!!
Do you have a laptop that you can take with you to a place with wireless, so you can watch the game and be in front of the computer? That would be the awesomest solution.

Well, I've watched every game on AFN with my Reggie Bush jersey on.
I actually had a First Sergeant see me in the jersey last game and told me I wasn’t in appropriate uniform and needed to go change. I laughed and said, "I think the Army can allow for three hours with my jersey slipped on OVER my uniform while I watch the game. He proceeded to ORDER me to take off the jersey, so I told him that I would take his request into consideration and decide later whether or not I would entertain it. I also pointed out that I was a Warrant Officer and he should be careful who he attempts to ORDER around. Proof once again that First Sergeants and Sergeants Major have nothing better to do in warzones then harass soldiers and be uniform nazis.
I noticed several people wearing jerseys yesterday, so I guess we know who won that battle.
Thank god for the time change too, getting up at 4:30 am is far better than 3:30.

I've done something different for every game.
And that will hold true tonight. We’re going to watch the Hornets play the Knicks (only La. sport coming anywheres close to us this year). Wearing the Saints shirt under the Hornets with option to switch if deemed neccessary. Then busting to a bar down the street from the stadium for the end of the MNF. The only thing that will be the same is I will have drink in hand the entire game. Who Dat!

go watch the game
it might be your only chance besides the other monday night game against the patriots. IDK how you sit in front of the computer like that. I tried it one time and quit till about 5 mins left in the game then “watched” the rest of it. it’s too boring so go see the game!! Just make sure everything else is the same(like clothes, maybe put your computer on the website page while your gone) except for you being there. Go enjoy! I’ve seen every game on my couch so far but might go play poker at a bar where the game will be depending on the halftime score.

I think that as ‘superstitions’ go for football, it must be a collective thing of every fan… so say there are 100 saints fans (just for an easy number to work with) if one person does something different, still the teams ‘collective superstition pool’ is at 99%
thinking this way may help you treat yourself to a game… AND if my theory isn’t correct and you do go to the game and we start loosing, you can always go back to your yahoo sports… or hell, bring your laptop with you and do both… that way ‘technically’ you haven’t changed doing something, just added…

GREAT POST JND!!
I’m in the CSC “Never having to say you’re rational” t-shirt portion of my gameday gear rotation this year (the other two shirts I wear are a black “Earn It” Saints shirt from 2007, and a gray t-shirt with a Saints fleur de lis in the middle of the chest). I’m wearing my camoflauge Saints hat that my parents gave me last year…
