Panthers @ Saints - The View from Section 638
I can't compete with Dave's write-up of the game, but I thought I'd share some pictures from a different perspective: the very last row. I flew in for this game from Ft Lauderdale under the auspices of visiting my mom for her birthday (although I really just wanted to go to the game--shhh), but my brother also drove in from Dallas with his kids. It was the twins' first Saints game. So, basically, they had to win, or else. Photos after the jump.
Crowd was there early.
I thought my brother's girls (who are 4) would've been sick of the game after the fireworks were over; surprisingly, they had an awesome time.
See, you actually CAN sorta see the players from the Dome's roof!
Seriously, I meant it when I said we were in the very last row.
...but it's a section for serious Saints fans only.
The smoking crowd at halftime was reeeeeediculous.

Happy dance for Meachem.
They both wanted to pull off his fake moustache (btw, I find that spelling much more comedic than "mustache")
...anyway the rest are boring family pictures. It was great to be back in NOLA for the weekend (I had 4 poboys from 3 different places in 3 days), and having to come back to Florida was such a bummer. What's worse, I think I the next game I'll get to is the Dallas Saturday nighter, which seems ages away. Until then, WHO DAT!

and if you've not ever gone to Chef Who Dat's site
I recommend that you do. He creates hilarious “menus” for each home game themed about our opponents.

Dude
Go onto stubhub and check out the prices for the Cowboys game now. I have 4 tickets that I bought in August for the game, at $200 each. The lowest price now for a ticket in my section is $1000!!! INSANE!!!

The top of the dome
is the best place to see a game for real fans. I have watched games from all areas and levels of the dome, but nothing beats the terrace for sheer fun and excitement. Glad the girls enjoyed it, they may be future saintsations… lol

Great time in the Terrace
the last yr. I lived in N.O. was the 93 season, and I had Tix in Sec. 611, lots of Big Time Rowdy Fans, and thats usually where all the visiting fans sit, so there was lots of good time razzing, and Popeyes’ chicken bones! HA. But the thing I liked was u could see formations and coverage, even w/o binoc’s. Those nieces were all geared up too, looks like they beacoup fun, cheers and Who-Dat….
